If you want something you can use on the Xbox 360 as well as the PS3, I'd go with the px21s, otherwise I can't help figure out a difference between them.

got the PS3 wireless stereo headset but I can only get sound out of one ear. Anyone know a fix. Called Sony to no avail.

Well I've had my Astro A40 audio system for 1 week now.

Amazing

Hooked it up to my PS3 and played few games with amazing sound.
Hooked it up to my PC with digital and was more wowed by 7.1 surround sound. Being able hear thing to the side and behind me was great.
Hooked it up to my droidx for a call and it worked great.

Also connecting my ipod to play music while gaming is a nice bonus .

$250 is a tall order, however if you look at all the features and options its a great deal.
360/PS3/PC/Phone/Music tool.

So what are the cons of the X41's compared to the PX5's?


Looking at both but is there really a negative to the cheaper alternative?

Sound is the same but the headphones on the x41 feel cheap as hell. The px5 or xp500 have a solid build to them and look much nicer not to mention it has blue tooth which the x41 does not

not sure its worth an extra 100 bucks but I want the virtual dolby surround when im playing

The PX5 is fantastic but it does not have the wireless chat puck for 360

If you hurry and buy, Amazon has the Ear Force Delta which is the best one for just $225 and the PX5 is $215

The Delta has the MW3 presets but you do not have to use them and can download new ones or the same ones on the PX5 onto your headset with the included USB cable (It is real simple to do)

The Deltas have the puck for wireless chat on xbox 360 and come with a nice carrying case if you travel

There are a lot of options, but I went with the Astro A40's.

Picked up the Tritton AX 720 for use on my PS3. I enjoy them so far, but have only used them in NBA 2k12.

I would go with the new Trittons AX 720's with 7.1 surround sound. I didn't need them as I have the X41's by Turtle Beach but I had $20 off coupon and some rewards point so it was under $100. So I was like what the hell and snagged them.

The older set was 5.1 and these are 7.1

Just a little feedback on the new Trittons ax 720 with 7.1 that I purchased over the weekend. These are pretty damn good imo. Personally I think they are better than the wireless TB X41's that I already have. If you can deal with the 13ft cord these are the way to go. Comes with extra Earcuffs, Headset might be a little lighter that the old 720's but not sure but it seems like it and to me the price point is perfect.

If some do decide to purchase a set of AX 720's be careful because the 5.1's are the same price as these at $129 and I'm sure some retailers have no clue that these are the new ones. GRAB THE RIGHT ONE.

Just got the new Sony Wireless headset and it's pretty amazing to me. I'm not a sound guru or what have you so my expectations or standards could be low hahah. Got them brand new on amazon for $80(The deal ended on the 16th I believe you can normally see them around $90-$130) Only thing I don't like but will have to get used to is the volume sliders and where they are positioned, just funny to reach behind my left ear to adjust volume. But great overall. I think the specs were shown earlier in this thread but I could update this later with them. Playing Battlefield 3 is an even more amazing experience now.
