I still have great memories of playing my DS Lite (Mario Kart and the New Super Mario Bros just to name a couple). I can be lazy, and the thought of just grabbing the 3DS off the night stand rather than trekking down to the basement to play the 360 is a nice option. Not to mention I've been slowly moving away from the serious games.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are. I do wish the 3DS came in an all black or silver casing. Seems it might come across as an older type portable.
I like the Vita because of the sports lineup, it has great apps (LiveTweet, YouTube, Netflix) and there's some really good non-sports games as well. But the library is small.

I own a DSi. I've worried about being "too old" to play a DS (I'm 34) but the way I look at it is if you enjoy gaming and like what the 3DS library has to offer, you may as well play it.

I feel stuck because my DSi was a Christmas gift and I'd hate to return it. I do have a big library of games to play but the 3DS lineup is very impressive.

Games are meant to be enjoyed. I say you take the plunge!

Great deal this spring/summer for 3DS owners in Europe.

I already registered MH and Fire Emblem. When I get AC I'll receive a free game!

The age question always makes me laugh.

I guarantee the 3DS has sold more copies to "people too old for it" than the Vita has sold period.

Just got Lego City in the mail today, and it's a nice, portable version of the WiiU storyline. Since it takes place 2 years earlier than the WiiU game, familiar landmarks/buildings are in the process of being built, but the city is there and laid out the same way. I'm only about an hour I to it, but I'm enjoying what I've done thus far.

On that note, back to the game. :-)

                      Re: Nintendo 3DS

                      From Nintendo's financial results:

However, for this year, the release of several key titles has already been announced, and I have also heard there are more unannounced titles to come. Also, as I mentioned on another occasion, we plan to more actively support the Japanese software developers in distributing their key titles overseas.

To be more specific, as of today, such third-party titles as shown on this slide have already been announced that they will be sold in the overseas markets, and I’ve also heard that our third parties are planning to launch other software titles that they have not announced yet. With these titles in the lineup, I think that, although much later than in Japan, the overseas markets are finally ready for Nintendo 3DS to get on an ideal sales track.

Trying to think what else could come from third-parties this year: Dragon Quest VII remake, Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, Level-5's Fantasy Life?

finally got some time with my DS. Downloaded Luigi's Mansion, then i registered my 3ds and LM on club nintendo and got super mario 3d land for free. Then I registered my Wii U and games on club nintendo and racked up 470 coins already.

Really enjoying Super Mario Land 3D. Right now, I very much prefer it over Luigi's Mansion. I'm trying to understand the hype for LM, but it just hasn't pulled me in yet.

Gotta play more of the Fire Emblem demo as I've sadly never played a RPG before.

So far, the system is pretty cool. Gotta decide though if I'll play it enough to warrant the investment. I have 60 days to decide.

Glad you picked this up. Hopefully you'll like the system and keep it. I'm hoping your investment will push me towards buying one.

Don't feel bad about having never played an RPG before; I'm in that club, too I've been interested in games from that genre but all that you have to do in RPG games can be overwhelming for beginners, I think.

From what I've read and seen in videos, it appears that FE is an excellent starter RPG with quite a bit of depth for the hardcore as well.
