I've been thinking hard about getting a 3DS because of how much I love my Wii U. I almost pulled the trigger last week as some of the normal XL's have been discounted but I decided to wait for the new one. A day one purchase for me.

So it looks like only the New Nintendo 3DS XL's will be coming to NA. I'd be getting that anyway, but for those that wanted to regular-sized New Nintendo 3DS, you'll be missing out on the custom faceplates.

The Majora's Mask N3DS XL looks amazing. Disappointed that they aren't including the game like they are with the Monster Hunter bundle, but that's not the first time (or the last) that Nintendo has done that.

I don't know how many games will be taking advantage of the new controls, but I can see myself getting the Majora's Mask N3DS XL in a moment of weakness. It'll look great next to my Link Between Two Worlds 3DS XL.

I'm going to try and stay strong and avoid buying this, but I know how these things usually go.

I can't believe they don't come with a power adapter. Already owning a 3DS XL, I don't see enough to upgrade personally but if you don't already own one, don't forget to buy a power adapter at launch LOL

That is correct. If you happen to already own a DS, DSi or 3DS you can use that adapter with the New 3DS, but if this is your first Nintendo handheld or you lost/traded/sold your old adapters, then you'll have to buy a new one.

Nintendo certainly makes some puzzling decisions at times.

Yeah, I'm sticking with the current XL for the time being. I was actually interested in the non-XL New 3DS. No power adapter is pretty common in Japan and Europe, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time a handheld or console hasn't come with one in the U.S.

I agree with you. I don't really use the 3D that much (I have it on the lowest setting without turning it completely off) and when I do play, I'm typically pretty stationary so I haven't had too many issues with the images becoming blurry or out of focus.

The extra shoulder buttons and a very-tiny C-stick are good additions, but who knows how many games are actually going to take advantage of them? If I don't need the controls to play any future releases, I'll just stick with my current 3DS.

I'm curious as to what the thought process was in releasing only the XL's in NA? You'd think with the changeable faceplates, Nintendo would make more money off the regular-sized N3DS (my abbreviation for the New 3DS) than the XL's.

I can't recall a NA console/handheld not coming with a power adapter. Another strange move.

I'm gonna be a first time 3DS owner with the new one, so the lack of AC adapter sucks, but at least they're only like $8 online. I'm not sweating it.

If the new Fire Emblem is a new 3DS exclusive, that would probably get me to buy one. Sticking with my XL for now , though that Majora's Mask 3DS looks really nice. Which reminds me that I should get around to finishing up Ocarina of Time 3D which fell into my backlog.

Also has anyone played Persona Q? I was considering it, but I about an hour of the Etrain Odyssey demo and didn't really care for it and haven't played Persona 3 so I'd be missing out on that side of the story.

I have heard a few people say that but I don't buy that. I didn't hear any thing about Nintendo say that them selfs and I don't think any system has ever came out with out a power cable. I also don't know why people are saying that the majors mask game is not coming with the system. I thought it was other wise why would they call it a Zelda majors mask bundle thing?

I hear you on all accounts in the first graph. OoT is up next for me; I'm almost done with FE Awakening, which is amazing.

As for Persona Q, I believe bcrusie has played the game, but not sure if anyone else here has picked it up.

I have Persona Q, but it's backburnered for a bit while I finish up some games I'm almost done with (I have quite a few of those).

As a big fan of P3 and P4 I'm enjoying it. I don't have any experience with Etrian aside from watching it for a bit on twitch, but I picked up the gameplay easily enough.

If you're not a huge fan of Etrian's combat/dungeon crawling but still want the story, I'd suggest waiting until it goes on sale. The story does tie into the stories of both games (there's a specific point in each game's timeline where it takes place, and yes that means timey-wimey stuff involved), but at least to this point it still seems like more of a side story/spinoff. Still it seems like a fun ride, and being able to mix and match the characters from both games makes for a ton of combat options.

Sold out, had to transfer some money online refreshed best buy and they were all gone sadly. Hopefully target and Walmart get some or bestbuy/gamestop get some more. I already have a 3ds xl but this I......need this
