Re: Nintendo 3DS
Well, my biggest concern was, as I mentioned, the online community and how easy it would be to find a game. No problems at all there - it's typically 6-8 (max) players in a race. And it's not like the competition is ridiculous either - you start out with 1000 rank points and most of the people you race are going to be right around that. Game runs fantastic on the 3DS - no framerate drops or lag that I've seen. Nintendo quality all the way, just as I remember it.
I'll play the single player just to get all the courses unlocked for time trials, but online is the primary reason I bought the game. Multiplayer Mario Kart is something I never had much of as a kid - my brother and I would play it but I was always way better.
So for me, the purchase is absolutely worth it for the online racing.
It doesn't have to just be the random ranked racing, there are communities you can create and join too but I haven't messed around with that.
It's still $30 for a years-old game (typical of first-party Nintendo), so take that into consideration before buying.Comment

Final Fantasy Explorers Announced For Nintendo 3DS
Final Fantasy Explorers is in development for the Nintendo 3DS, this week’s issue of Jump magazine reveals. The game is a multiplayer action RPG, where you search for crystals while battling the Summons in your way.
Final Fantasy Explorers will let you select from multiple Jobs, each with their own role. Jump’s reveal shows the Black Mage, White Mage, Knight and Monk.
The Black Mage attacks using magic and specializes in long-range attacks. The White Mage, as always, is focused on recovery spells.
The Monk’s description should come as no surprise to anyone that has played Final Fantasy before either—he’s the representative for physical attacks. Jump says he “overwhelms the enemy with his surging dash”. Finally, the Knight serves as the party’s shield, by attracting the enemy’s attacks.
Jump says that many Jobs from the Final Fantasy series will be present in Final Fantasy Explorers. Parties can consist of up to four players, and you’ll need to use each Job effectively to take on the enemy. The goal of the campaign is to defeat the different generations of Summons.
According to Jump, Final Fantasy Explorers will have a large variety of weapons to choose from. The magazine also shows Ifrit as one of the Summons in the game.
Final Fantasy Explorers doesn’t have a release date yet. Square Enix is listed as the game’s developer.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Fantasy Life being shown on Nintendo's Treehouse now on livestream.
Looks like a pretty solid, basic, charming RPG. I'm more excited for this game than I thought I would be.

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
People are saying it plays a lot like Valkyria Chronicles. If that is the case, I'm ALL in.
By the way - played SSB at Best Buy today. Can't. Wait.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
So a strategy title from the developers of Fire Emblem and Advance Wars that is sort of like a steampunk Valkyria Chronicles where Abraham Lincoln is your commander and you fight against Aliens that have design inspiration from HP Lovecraft and character designs inspired by the Silver Age comics.
This sounds amazing. I need to see this. Treehouse did say they would be taking a deep look at the title on tomorrow's stream.Last edited by Flawless; 06-11-2014, 08:54 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
