Just took advantage of the Best Buy deal and ordered Zelda: ALBW and Pokemon Y. I wanted Kirby instead of Pokemon Y, but I had to do the delivery option since I work third shift and sleep during the day. Unfortunately, Kirby and Yoshi's New Island weren't available for delivery.

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
So I just got an email saying Zelda: ALBW is currently on backorder, and I can wait for delivery, which is expected as late as August 30 (wtf?) or I can do in-store pickup. I checked the site for availability, and there aren't any Best Buys within three hours of me that have it in store. When I placed my order it said that Zelda: ALBW was in stock and ready for delivery. **** you Best Buy, no wonder why your company is circling the drain.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
I decided to go out and try to support my local best buy by going out early sunday morning and buying games with this deal. I get to my best buy around 11am and not only was there no signage what so ever for this sale, they didn't have one copy of either Yoshis Island or Zelda. Of course I couldn't find one single associate to ask about it either. Proceeded to go on bestbuy.com while in the store and order them both online.
The days of going to a real store are getting smaller by the day.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Is a 16GB SD card good enough? I probably won't buy much just yet from the eShop since I'm still getting myself antiquated with the 3DS. I picked up Zelda: OOT which I haven't played in nearly 18 years and SMW3DL. I think I am about halfway through Zelda and this game still holds up rather well.
I will say that the 3DS is a bit of an adjustment coming from the Vita hardware and OS. I don't mind the clam shell design too much as it helps protect the screens and makes it a bit better in terms of portability. I am finding this to be even more comfy than the Vita 2000 due to the button placement. My only complaints are that it does feel a little top heavy due to the clam shell design and the screens quality is a bit of a shocker vs. the Vita/iPhone. It is what it is, and it all comes down to the games which Nintendo has some really good stuff on here.Comment

The XL is very comfortable. I can play this for hours and my hands don't get cramped like they did with the GBA or DSi.
Did you trade in the Vita to get the 3DS or do you have both systems?Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
I think I have a 16GB as well and it's been plenty fine so far since upgrading it.
And yes, the 3DS hardware has nothing on the Vita but no handheld can touch it on the games front.
Which is funny, because it was considered nothing other than a failure by so many for years.badComment

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
Yeah, you'll be fine with a 16gb card. I have an 8gb and I've got both 3DS Zelda games, 10 VC games and a few DSi Ware games and still have around 4,000 free blocks.

Yeah, I had sold the Vita not too long ago. I was disappointed with Sony's direction on the Vita and their abysmal E3 showing. The rest of the upcoming titles just are not that interesting at all considering that they pretty much dropped AAA title support.
The eShop is a little bit of a mess and takes some getting used to since its unorganized.

I think I screwed up my Club Nintendo account that is linked to my NNID. I used to have a Club Nintendo account when I had a Wii. On my Club Nintendo account it shows 170 coins, is it supposed to show that on the little coins icon on the 3DS?Last edited by CaptainZombie; 07-31-2014, 11:00 PM.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
That is great then, will probably snag a 16gb over the weekend since they are so cheap.

Thanks, I'll be looking at the 16gb then. I agree, it's all about the games and the 3DS has those awesome games.

After a few times you'll find the eShop is pretty easy to navigate. I really like the Wish List feature as that allows me to just bank a list of games that I'm interested in purchasing.
I don't know about the CN coins showing up on the 3DS. I've honestly never looked there, just always used the website.Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo 3DS
So, essentially the Game Boy Color version of the 3DS. I want one, but only if more titles are announced of interest in the future. Last year we were spoiled, while this year has been pretty slow with new releases. I'm only looking forward to Persona Q, and maybe Fantasy Life. Next year the spoils are on Wii U, so you have to wonder just how much new content is coming to the 3DS.
Also, Xenoblade Chronicles is a game that deserved an HD remaster. I want to see it looking and running better, not worse on this new 3DS.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
