Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
Unless something changed that I don't know about, Nintendo systems are never on Amazon (sold by Nintendo, other resellers of course post them). The two companies have been "feuding"

Dang. I had wondered about something like that but I wasn't for sure. Guess I'll be paying tax on it after all.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Perhaps this is Nintendo trying to cut down on Homebrew by making it harder to access the SD card.Last edited by DJ; 01-15-2015, 11:03 PM.Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Finished Fire Emblem Awakening tonight. I really enjoyed this game, which was my first FE experience (I'm a fan of the Advance Wars series so had a feeling I'd like this). As I've stated before, I'm not a big RPG guy and tend to find those games overwhelming at times. I'm sure FE can be that way, too.
So, to enjoy the experience and not rage-quit or lose interest, I played on the easiest setting with perma-death off. Some may say I didn't get the true FE experience by playing this way but I look at it another way; playing this way makes me want to play the game again, this time on a harder difficulty with perma-death on. Using the easier settings enabled me to learn the game mechanics, what items to sell/buy/forge, which party members to use in battle and who to pair them up with, etc.
Having the Advance Wars background did help me in terms of combat and placing party members on the map. Gameplay is easy to learn but can be hard to master. I would say the story wasn't especially strong, but certainly not terrible. i thought the characters had some nice depth to them and you got to see the different personalities as the game progressed. The music was outstanding and the visuals ranged from average to very good, especially the scenes in 3D.
I will say, even on the easy settings the game was no joke at times, especially the chapters where enemy units regenerate during battle.
I know most here have played this game, but for those that have yet to try it, I say give the game a chance on the settings I used and see if the game doesn't hook you like it did me.
Trying to decide between Star Fox 64 3D and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for my next game.Currently Playing:

I never really played star fox 64 much. I tried it once on 64 and I found it way way to hard but that was years and years ago. DKCR was pretty good on the wii but DKCTF on the wii u is even better. If you have a wii u and don't have DKCTF you have to get it now such a great great game!Comment

Nintendo 3DS
I was actually thinking of trading my Wii U towards a New 3DS since I never play it.... I don't really want to but why not if I never play it
I always played my 3ds until it broke and always play my X1 for console gaming so the Wii U just collects dust
Main reason I got was because of the Virtual console and exclusivesComment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Looks like you may have a chance at getting the Majora's Mask LE N3DSXL from GameStop after all ... they are limiting purchases to 2 per customer so apparently all those folks that bought 3-plus will be getting emails letting them know that they will only be getting 2 systems.
So, if you are looking for that particular model, keep your ears and eyes peeled as to when they will be back in stock.Currently Playing:

What size SD card do people recommend? I'm thinking 32gb at a minimum, but I may jump to a 64gb if it's necessary.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans
