I'm less than blown away by Mario Kart. I love Super Mario Bros U, but I just can't get into Mario Kart as much. It's probably because I'm using a WiiMote to control it. Are you all using the Pro Controller, or what are you using?
I actually use the old pro controllers for the original Wii, the one's that plug into the bottom of the WiiMote, got it dirt cheap and works perfectly.

I use the GamePad
I was under the impression you couldn't use the GamePad to actually race. Is this actually possible? We have 2 wheels and then my one pro controller and the girlfriend would prefer to use something more button based so if we could use the GamePad to actually race that would solve a lot of problems.

Haha, crazy, I'm an idiot apparently. I just assumed you were switching screens to see the action and never thought you could control it that way. Thanks for the info man.
Just realized I haven't posted in here since I picked up my Wii U a month or so ago. I'm really enjoying the system. I've been playing it more than anything else.
I like Mario Kart, but I think Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze might be my favorite game right now.
Wife & I love playing Mario Bros U. I've got Mario 3d, but I haven't even started it. Mario Kart 8 is getting the least play of the games that I'm playing unfortunately. I was hyped for it, but I just can't get the same "feeling" that I used to get with Mario Kart.
But as long as the wife is playing games, and having fun, then I'm happy. Definitely worth the purchase. Especially since it was "for the kids"

At least for me....
Mario World 3D > Mario Bro's U

Galaxy 2 is more or less the same IMO. Both great games, different power ups in each. I actually prefer the overworld layout in Galaxy 1 vs the SMB3 style layout in Galaxy 2.
