Played it at best buy today. I will be selling all of my preorders now. Just leave it at that. No chance of me keeping one of these.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Edit: the "white systems are not BC" is seemingly bogus.
Looked online and Wii disks as well as a lot of the virtual games (N64 etc..) will also work.Last edited by Skyboxer; 10-21-2012, 06:10 PM.Joshua:

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Well thankfully you really didn't have much interest anyways. What was about it you didn't care for. Ours doesn't have it set up yet.
Hope its nothing huge as I need some mario, pikmin etc fix. If it is I'll just grab a used Wii lol
Don't want to get burned a second time in a row with a fail. (Vita, for me, being the first)Last edited by Skyboxer; 10-21-2012, 06:22 PM.Joshua:

Bigger was the controller. See some liking it, I didn't. I felt it had a "cheap" feeling. But the biggest of all, my 4 year old who loves gaming was bored in about 30 seconds and walked to the ps3 kiosk next door to play that All Star fighting game.Well thankfully you really didn't have much interest anyways. Re: Wii U Discussion

Glad I wasn't the only one feeling the same way about the gamepad being very cheap. For anyone that tries this thing out, press on the sides of the gamepad, they push in like on a cheaply constructed controller.Bigger was the controller. See some liking it, I didn't. I haven't tired it yet, like u, I'm not interested and never was, IMO Nintendo is just a house hold name, the WII U has not impressed me none bit. For Nintendo to even call this thing a next gen system is a joke. There is nothing next gen about it, really think about it, what the ugly big controller. I rather have Sony utilize the Vita and the PS3 more and that looks better. For me, I can't stand anything Mario, in think it's run its course. For once, at the price Nintendo is asking for the U, I still think the 360 will out sell U in its first year by a long shot.

Like other have said about the Vita dying and what not, again this is only my opinion I think the U will not do even close to what the original Wii did. I'm also shocked that so many of you on here are prasing it and even pre-ordered it. I mean IDK, this thing looks like child's play to me.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Where did you hear that? The Wii U white and black are BC and has been confirmed to be.

Not to be a jerk, but of course the Xbox will surpass the Wii U sales this holiday due to limited quantities of the Wii U out there the first few months.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 10-21-2012, 07:35 PM.Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

I feel the same way. The WiiU has some features that are appealing, but I just am no even close to being impressed enough to buy it. My guess is the WiiU will be a second thought in 2 years anyways. From the specs I've seen, the next-gen Sony and Microsoft systems are going to be significantly more powerful, which will result in poor porting and less features for the system, which is where it should be strong. I'll wait.Bigger was the controller. See some liking it, I didn't. I felt it had a "cheap" feeling. Re: Wii U Discussion

The Wii U better hope the PS3 and 360 have a lot of life left in them because the Wii U will need to sustain the 3rd party games simply by getting ports. I think that will happen.

I'm honestly getting a little worried about this system given that it's less powerful than I thought it would be. I should never hear that the PS3 or 360 can do something better graphically than the Wii U and yet I am. Still, the first party games are a draw and I honestly can't think of a better Christmas gift for the kids right now. If I do we may drop this idea but right now it's still a go.

What games are available to play on the BB Kiosk?Comment

I'd like to say I'd pass if I didn't think all it would take was a new Pikmin , Paper Mario etc.. then I would be po'ed if I didn't have one.Bigger was the controller. See some liking it, I didn't. Yeah there were already some reviews stating the pad "felt" cheap. Time will tell I guess.Joshua:

I have zero idea how the Wii U will end up but I do know the same stuff was said about the Wii....
That's the main thing I fear is another disappointing purchase.Joshua:

 Yep.
IMO as long as Nintendo has Mario and all their in house franchises, they will do fine.
 I'd be surprised otherwise.Joshua:
