 Re: Wii U Discussion

Enjoying it so far. Am having trouble with the Wii mode though, upon loading it up the screen when all red and then everything just looked awful.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Same here. Having a blast with it. Had it for DS and was a no brainer for the WiiU's larger screen.
Should have been 29.99 or 39.99 though probablyLast edited by Skyboxer; 11-20-2012, 11:39 PM.Joshua:

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Daughter and I just finished playing Nintendoland for the first time together. We both had a blast and were laughing and cracking on each other.
Those are the moments that are priceless and worth thier weight in gold.Joshua:

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Didn't get much time in with either of the games I purchased (Mario/ZombiU)...spent most of my time messing around with the system and getting used to everything.

I got to say the miiverse is pretty awesome. Being able to seamlessly move to a social community without ever leaving the game is so cool. It adds a whole dimension that I never really anticipated being drawn to.

 Well played Nintendo.Cubs

Agreed, they may have figured something out regarding online. I was playing some Black Ops, saw a new user posting and quick added to my friends list. Out and back in the game in 30 seconds.Didn't get much time in with either of the games I purchased (Mario/ZombiU)...spent most of my time messing around with the system and getting used to everything.

 Well played Nintendo.

I really wasn't starting to feel the value I was paying for with XBL. This has all the functionality I need, and some I didn't know I wanted...but I like.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Nintendo becomes profitable when you buy just one game with your new WiiU:

"As soon as we get the consumer to buy one piece of software, then that entire transaction becomes profit positive," he explained.

"In the end, the business model is still to drive the install base of hardware, and then to drive a strong tie ratio with all of the other software and experiences for the consumer. And if we're able to do that, then we will create significant profit for the company."Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Dont think that's the case. I believe they have a list out that is guaranteed to work. Any external that has an outside power source will work. Some that are powered through USB are iffy. Some (not Nintendo) recommend using a Y adaptor the use to plug into 2 of the USB ports on the Nintendo on models without an external power source.

Unless I am off my rocker.. but sure I seen that.

 EDIT:
What external USB storage devices can be used with Wii U?
•What external USB storage devices can be used with Wii U? To ensure maximum performance between your Wii U and an external storage device, we recommend using a hard-disc drive (HDD) with a dedicated power source (i.e., using an A/C adapter). Due to the wide range of external hard drives, usability and performance will vary. For more information on external USB storage devices that can be used with Wii U, click here.Last edited by Skyboxer; 11-21-2012, 12:13 PM.Joshua:
