 Re: Wii U Discussion

 STOP IT!!

My wife did the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal for the WiiU from Target about 2 months ago. We got Splinter Cell, Pikmin 3, and Rayman Legends. All that has been opened to this point has been SC. Last night, I was trying to negotiate taking one of the other 2 back to Wal-Mart for an even exchange for SM3DW. She stayed strong, as we were going to give Rayman to the little one for XMas, and she really wanted to play Pikmin when she actually gets some time to play the dang thing

Oh well...looks like it's going to be Mario and Zelda for me at Christmas.

I also just saw the Best Buy Black Friday special on the WiiU: Mario & Luigi U Deluxe Set + NintendoLand + the Mario or Luigi Wiimote Plus for $319.97 form 11/29-11/30 while supplies last.

So, for $379.96, one can get a deluxe WiiU, Super Mario U, Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, NintendoLand, and an extra Wiimote Plus. Deal.XBox Gamertag: djbeth77

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Between SM3DW, Wind Waker HD, Pikman 3, and W101, I really want a Wii U. The BB offer seems pretty good, but it's bundled with things I don't really care about. I would rather spend just a little more and get the Wind Waker Bundle and 3D World. I don't know maybe there will be a more appealing deal in December.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

ZombiU IMO is a very fun game and was unfairly criticized the way it was.
Anyways: Other than the ones you mentioned..
 Pikmen 3
 Lego City Undercover
Nintendoland has some fun co-op games (Still comes with system I'm assuming)
Lego Marvel if you don't already have it

There's also some digital games like The Cave and Trine you can grab.Joshua:

 Re: Wii U Discussion

I beleive we'll be selling the Wii U.
There simply isn't enough support for this console.
 Where is the new Zelda?
Where are the unique 3rd party software titles that take advantage of the gamepad?

Since launch, the only unique 3rd party games have been Zombie U and Pikimin.

Lego Undercover was great. My son loved it. But where's the sequel?
 Where's Metroid Prime?

This thing has been collecting dust for months now.
I really hope Nintendo just gets out of the hardware business and starts publishing games for other consoles.Comment

I would be hesitant to sell it before Mario Kart & Zelda come out. The new Mario game is getting great reviews too.I beleive we'll be selling the Wii U.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

We've known for a while the first Zelda wouldn't be until 2014.
With the PS3/PS4 the WiiU compliments my gaming nicely.

I mainly got the Wii U for the Nintendo games that frankly do take a while to flow out.
Reason 1 why they are usually great games and not COD 17 Big Bad Momma edition Joshua: Joshua:

 Re: Wii U Discussion

That's the problem; my son doesn't care for Mario Kart and when I showed him videos for the new Mario 3D game he just shrugged his shoulders and said "meh".

And that's the problem with the Wii U. Unless you're in love with the 1st party games, it's useless.
There is nothing different about the shared 3rd party games. You can do the same things on a 360 or PS3 that you can on a Wii U.
Nobody is taking advantage of the Wii Controller.

It's gotten to the point that whenever he saves up enough money to buy a game, he always buys it for their 360.
But we still have a Wii, so I'm going to get him Skyward Sword. That looks really cool.
And if the Wii U ever does get that great game, I'm sure we can rebuy the console for peanuts.
Once the XB1 and PS4 start flooding the market, by the time the new Zelda game rolls around, I bet we can get a used Wii U for under $150. Maybe even $100.

 But right now, it's a $300 dust collector.Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Not really true. COD has all the missile drops etc.. done through the pad and then there's the quick loadout changes through pad instead of hitting pause etc..
Batman has the new batarang aiming through pad as well as most of the investigative tools done through pad... etc..
I'm sure there's more but I haven't played all since I knew going in it was a Nintendo game machine first and foremost and not a primary machine.

In any case if you're not happy with it then yeah sell it and re-buy later if you see something you like.Last edited by Skyboxer; 11-26-2013, 05:03 PM.Joshua:
