New video of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Over 70 stages. The animations are so good.

 Re: Wii U Discussion

 Thanks for the quick answer.

So we have Mario cart and Mario World. Any other games that any of you guys think are must haves for the wii u?

Also are there any "classic" controllers for it? I know you can use the wii controllers but I really don't like them much.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

 Re: Wii U Discussion

The Pro Controller is just like an XBox 360 controller and is real good. I like Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

DK tropical freeze has some of the best music I have heard in a game in a long long time and the levels are very creative and the game just gets better has you get farther into the game just an amazing game. Also rayman legends is must own game to but that game is also on ps4 and xboxone. I like the way the gamepad is used on the wii u version though.Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Agree with the posters above about both Nintendo Land and Wii Party U - both fun multiplayer games.

I actually liked Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed more than Mario Kart 8 - it also features 5 player local multiplayer (4 split screen plus gamepad), which MK doesn't (unless they patched it since I last played). Need For Speed Most Wanted was a good port if you don't care about the missing DLC. I'm renting The Wonderful 101 right now, and it's interesting - if you like unique games and/or have a soft spot for Silver Age comic book style writing, that'd be a good one to check out. If you like strategy games, Advance Wars for the GBA virtual console is one of the best ever. If you like the LEGO games, the Wii U is arguably the best system to play them on since the split screen is kind of clunky on other platforms and fixed with the Gamepad.

Besides the Wii U Pro Controller, many games also support the original Wii Classic Controllers, which I personally find more comfortable. (Wikipedia has a list of the games that support each - I'd link you but I'm new here ) They do need to be plugged into a remote, which is a downside, but if you also have a PS3 or PC, there's an adapter that allows them to be used on those systems as well. ) They do need to be plugged into a remote, which is a downside, but if you also have a PS3 or PC, there's an adapter that allows them to be used on those systems as well.

Also, the Wii U Pro Controllers don't yet work for the Wii stuff, so if you want to check out any of the backward compatible games, you'd be better off with a Classic Controller. (I would have guessed that at some point they'll patch that, but I also would've guessed the Gamecube adapter would work with more than just one game...)Comment
