Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning

Just a heads up for those getting the Pinball Arcade DLC today - if you bought the Medieval Madness/Bride of Pinbot Vita pack a few weeks ago when it was released, the same content for the PS3 will show up in the store for FREE today. Buying for one system entitles you to both versions.

Also, PS3 jumps ahead of Vita in this department as the second table pack with Funhouse and Circus Votaire is out this week!

Edit: CV and FH content this week appear to be both PS3 AND Vita, thus catching up both systems to where mobile is, finally!

Edit 2: New tables don't seem to be showing up on either system after installing. I suspect this is because the downloads were only unlock keys, and that a patch (which hasn't been released yet) will deliver the actual content. Anyway, just a heads up on that.

Edit 3:For PS3, deleting the Pinball Arcade application and re-downloading it from the download list should make the new tables appear, if you've already installed them. I'm trying the same thing on Vita now. Regardless, this issue is blowing up Farsight's facebook comments page and it's pretty obvious there's a widespread issue here. Expect a much simpler fix soon.

Didn't work on Vita. Pretty sure that one will require a patch (the previous update specifically mentioned MM and BoP as being added, and I'm sure these two tables will be no different this time around).

Edit 4: (the chronicles continue...lol) This from the PS Blog, regarding the Vita tables - it's in red, which means it's a staff reply:

From QA: The patch for that game is set to deploy today at 7:00GMT. The Patch is required to use the DLC, sorry for this delay.

Hopefully I can get a straight answer from you guys.

I just got a 73" Mitsubishi DLP 3D tv and want to know if the ps3 is able to read 3d movies?

I've searched all over, but I can't get definite response from anyone.

      Thanks in advance.

        Yes.

You'll need an HDMI cable, the proper firmware update (though it was so long ago you must have it, I think it was 3.50), and you'll have to enable the proper setting through the PS3.

Can't say for whether or not they'll be added in later, but for now the answer is no.

Man, the PS3 lighting in MM and Funhouse absolutely put the look of the same tables in PHOF:Williams to shame. Everything is darker, but it's all illuminated by the flashing lights and looks truly awesome. They play a lot faster too.

Having never played Cirqus Voltaire before, I was a little surprised to see that the dot matrix needed no seperate window - it's right there on the playfield!

Since you got a 3D tv. You have to play Uncharted 3 in 3D. Amazing!

A pretty decent Summer Sale coming next week:

50% off for PS+ members... I might have to finally check out Crysis and Shadow of the Colossus.
