I am intrigued by EA Access though. I'd have no issues trading in my PS4 physical copies of EA games towards the purchase of an Xbox. Looks like there's 21 games available on Access right now, and all the ones I'd play (Madden, NHL, FIFA, Live) are there.

I have both systems and I went back and forth on which one I like more and wanted to use as my main for awhile. I've finally settled on my One as my main.

I haven't played Quantam Break but I've heard good things about it.

I do have EA Access so I can comment on that, it's really awesome. I highly recommend the One just for that and for sports games in general. The rumble in the controller and the layout is better for sports games IMO.

Playing all the newest EA games early for 10 hours is also an awesome and underrated feature of EA Access IMO.

Hopefully others can chime in on QB, but I highly recommend the X1.

Not really an underrated feature IMO. The main selling points are 1. Free games 2. Play new games early.

After finishing Quantum Break a few weeks ago, I would say no in regards to it being a system seller. Solid 7/10 in my opinion. Great visuals, story and characters but the gameplay, shooting mechanics leaves a lot to be desired. There's also no pure crouch button or cover system. The time effects are outstanding though. The problem is that it's just at times slow, boring and dull to play. If you're more about the story and characters as opposed to the gameplay, then you'll most likely enjoy it more than I did.

Watching the TV show aspect of the game and having to find documents throughout the game to fill in more of the story was also a disappointment to me. My friend watched the show as he was playing and said that it was actually good all things considered but me personally, I would have preferred the show to be included on the disc and all the documents should have been implemented into the cut scenes or at least shortened because some of the documents are long. After act 2, I stopped reading them because it was boring the hell out of it. The end boss fight is bad and doesn't help either.

In short, Quantum Break is Xbox One's "The Order: 1886" and I would give both an 7/10 for what they are with the biggest negatives being gameplay related. I would rather play The Order: 1886 a third time compared to playing Quantum Break a second time. Both should have been far better but yet while both are solid, neither are great and majority of gamers will be disappointed either way. Sorry for the comparison to The Order: 1886 but these two games are my biggest disappointments thus far this generation exclusives wise.

I will say this though...you can either get a $50 gift card at Best Buy this week with the purchase of any Xbox One console or get a free game ($60 and less) with the purchase of any Xbox One console next week.

Don't know if you're a GCU member but if so, you can actually come away with a few games and a new console for $350 plus tax.

Next week's ad will have Quantum Break for $35/$28 GCU where as this week, it's $40/$32 GCU. Halo 5 is $30/$24 GCU this week and $25/$20 GCU next week.

In my opinion, here's the number one reason why you should buy an Xbox One this week and get the $50 gift card -

Rise of the Tomb Raider which in my opinion is by far the best "exclusive" available on Xbox One and will be until Gears of War 4 comes out. Granted, it's a timed exclusive but seriously, who cares? ROTTR is awesome and blows away the 2013 reboot. I purchased an Xbox One for ROTTR and can easily say that it was worth the purchase. Granted, I was able to get one hell of a deal from Best Buy but still, it was ROTTR that made me want to buy the console instead of waiting.

I was originally going to buy an Xbox One for Quantum Break but im happy that I didn't wait because for me personally, that wouldn't have been a good impression or a good purchase but thankfully, Xbox One has the game that was also better than that "other" game that came out on November 10th.

Coincidently, ROTTR will be on sale next week (5/22 - 5/28) for $30/$24 GCU. If you're a GCU member, you'll be able to come away with a new Xbox One, ROTTR, QB and whatever game is packed in with the console for $365 out of pocket plus tax which is pretty good. The $15 is the difference that you would have to pay for the two games if you're not a GCU member.

Also, you'll get points with the purchase which would be 698 which would be just under $14 in reward certs.

Sorry for the long post but buying an Xbox One for Quantum Break isn't worth it BUT for ROTTR, it is. QB can just be that little bonus. Advice though - if you do get both games, play QB first. It's the shorter, quicker game and out of the two, better to save the better game for last so you don't have that bitter taste in your mouth after playing QB like I did.

And as for EA Access, easily worth it if you're an EA fan which you obviously are. Just make sure that all the games you currently have is in their vault.

        Hope this post helps.

Agreed but chances are, it's not going to just be for one game. Multi-platform wise, I play my PS4 but purchased an Xbox One for ROTTR (easily worth the purchase) as I didn't want to wait a year and Quantum Break (meh).

I also bought an Xbox One for State of Decay but decided against buying again (had it for xbox 360) because all the bugs and glitches were still present and that's just unacceptable. Ryse: Son of Rome was a game I was enjoying but the constant vibration from the controller made me quit after chapter three. Now, im waiting for Gears of War 4 and to see what the hell ReCore is going to be.

See, it's never for just one game but it is usually that "one game" that makes the decision easier. Everything else is just a bonus.

Thanks for the QB thoughts. I do like the look of that console, so that's why I was considering that specific bundle, along with wanting to play the game.

EA Access and any Xbox exclusives is why I'd buy the system. I'll have to think about it a little more.

I agree with kwebb...no single game is worth the purchase of a system. Even MLB the Show. I can live with playing the PS3 versions, I can live with what's on it. Plus the game is cheaper now as well.

Yes now, but what did you buy when the PS4 was not out? Did you live with the PS2 version for all those years?

It is a disingenuous statement to say not to get a system for just one game, since exclusives and new releases show time and time again that people say they get a system for that, 'one game', which opens the opportunity to get into more than just that game.

Otherwise, why do you think people, 'hold out for Halo', or 'hold out until Uncharted', etc..

I got the PS3 for one game at the time, MLB '08, as did many on here... and with that it opened me up to new exclusives like Uncharted or TLoU, as well as plenty of multi-plats... but it was that 'one game' that was the push to get one in the first place.

I waited until like 2011 or something to get a ps3. I was still on my ps2 and PSP. So I would play the games on those. Also I had a 360 I was playing. So I could survive with the older version of games. I love MVP '05 so that satisfied need for baseball gaming.

Completely unrelated but the newest NFS game that came out last year is actually a blast.

I hated it at first and it's definitely not "sim" style, once you get going the game is really fun and reminds me of old school NFS Underground 2 in some ways.

The customization is awesome and having open world and the ability to challenge other humans to spontaneous races is really cool. I have a beater civic that actually has 800+ HP that I completely baited some guy with earlier and smoked him, had that nice childish fun feel to it.

The story is cheesy but pretty lengthy, 15+ hours, MP is cool too. It also has a hard mode after you beat it on normal which is sweet.

Highly recommend it, I actually bought it after my 10 hours with EA access were up. Also, they did patch in manual transmissions awhile ago which for me was a game changer.

I miss playing a baseball game. I really do. I'd never go buy a console for it though. No matter how good it may be. I'm also not a hardcore gamer either though I guess. I play sports games, the odd shooter and racer. I know personally, I'd never buy a console for one game. I've thought about it, but never could I.

As for NFS.... Didn't like it. Couldnt get used to it. Much prefer Forza Horizon.
