Only horrible part of it all, Windows 10 Store to do so. Bleh.

Maybe not this E3 but I think we will see the X360 BC games come to Win10 sooner or later.

If it means I could play all the games on my console natively, that's a pretty easy tradeoff. Windows Store has continued to improve since launching UWP apps.

I'm excited about the news because I've always been a Microsoft/Xbox fan but some of it scares me a little. I figured it was inevitable but it seems as if they are going away from the console market altogether.

It seems as if I'm going to have to build a PC in the future in order to get my Xbox services, might not be a bad thing in the end but I'm not really versed in that area and the thought of building one seems daunting.

I could be wrong but that's part of what I got out of the news. I know they said that a more powerful X1 will be coming in 2017 but that's still a decent bit in the future.

I think MS will continue to release consoles. There's a big market for set top gaming boxes. They just want to expand the audience for their software and services by delivering them on PCs as well.

Why people still knocking Windows Store, I've been cross-playing Gears Ultimate and Killer Instinct for weeks now and zero lag or issues. Not to mention going back and forth with Quantum Break, was smooth too...

It's not Games for Windows Live, people need to let them live that down.

Are the backward compatible games playable online? Interested in playing Fight Night Rd 4 and Burnout Revenge with online friends if they are backwards compatible in June as rumored.

Same as the XB1, poor start but wait until they work a few things out. Gamers will get most of the Steam features they want, and then they'll throw cross-buy, cross-play, and some other new features on top of everything to make it worth while.

No, it's not GFWL, but it still sucks.

I highly doubt it will always suck, but as for right now it's bad.

SweetFX can't be used. You can't use overlays. Up until very recently, for Forza Apex at least, you couldn't use SLI/Crossfire. No modding. VSync was stuck on. No exclusive full-screen.

It's their attempt at locking down an open market. It's piss-poor so far, as PC has always been about choice (Steam, GOG and even the much-maligned Origin/uPlay, among other options) that MS is trying to compete with.

I'll support their efforts, and they have been making strides forward (the aforementioned enabling of SLI for Forza Apex) but they have a long, long ways to go.

Also, UWP sucks compared to Win32 for those reasons above.

Turtle Beach has the only wireless sound and chat headsets for X1:
800x (no boom mic, many have complained about the mic. Has bluetooth and line in cable to connect to other devices)
500x (what I have, has boom mic, some say sound isn't as good as 800x. Also doesn't have bluetooth but does have a line in cable)
420x (cheaper than those two above, i think only has stereo sound instead of 7.1)

There are plenty of choices for wireless sound (basically just need any with a base that accepts a sound output from the X1) however for any others outside of those TB listed above you'll need to attach a cable to the controller for chat.

                              I would ask:
                              - do you prefer stereo or surround sound?
                              - do you want wireless chat?
                              - do you want to connect to other devices?

Quite honestly a lot of non gaming headsets can be used that sound better, don't look goofy when in public listening to something on your phone (I would prefer a single headset for everything rather than different ones for different devices), and don't have an insane marked up price. I only got the 500x for wireless sound and chat since 90% of the time i am using a headset I am playing with friends online anyways.

So I bought the stereo adapter, and while updating the controller, I accidentally turned the Xbox off, and now my controller won't turn on. I only have 1 controller.
