Re: Xbox One
The JS7000 is compatible in the way that it will display a picture with an HDR signal but since it doesn't have a full array backlight, it won't be able to produce better contrast on different part of the screen.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I am a PlayStation guy but with this being the first console that can do 4k games yes I know upscaled 4k not full 4k but has any one seen any screen shoots comparing what games look like at 1080p compared to upscaled 4k on the xboxone slim? Just interested to see what kind of improvements I may see if I end up getting a NEO and a 4k TV at some point even though I am most likely going to just stick with the regular ps4.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Games that are 900p or 1080p will not look better upscaled I have a 4k TV with an awesome upscaled and it does not improve gamesComment

Re: Xbox One
While the 07 TV I have is 720p that upscales to 1080p and I find bluray's to be overrated but maybe it is because my TV upscales to 1080p instead of full 1080p. I am not sure how much better things look at full compared to upscaled like say a player upscaling a dvd to 10080p instead of watching a bluray that is at full 1080p.Comment

Re: Xbox One
A lot of people are saying LGs that say HDR pro work with the 4K upscaling along and HDR of the Xbox one S.
Those are probably the cheapest TVs for this Xbox you get .yhey are like 700 for a 55 inch.
I'll do more research on it#1 Laker fan

Re: Xbox One
I'm with smallville in a way regarding DVD's/Blu Ray's. I don't think that Blu Ray's are overrated but I do think that they're overpriced. I have watched a few Blu Ray's and honestly, I don't notice any difference whatsoever. I'm not really a movie buff but when I do buy a movie, it's to keep and it's always the DVD version. A few extra visuals doesn't mean anything to me (especially if the movie sucks) and I never bother with the extra features and whatnot so I would much rather spend $10 on a DVD instead of $35+ on a Blu Ray.
If I rent a movie via PSN or for last gen, Xbox 360, I always rent the 480P SD version simply because I used to rent the HD version but I realized that there's minimal to no difference, at least to me anyway so I figure, why not save the extra few bucks and rent another movie if I want to. Also, just in case there's a problem with Optimum or it's being heavily used, I know that with SD streaming, I should have no issues and no buffering which to be perfectly honest, is what I care about the most.
Games wise, pretty sure that Scorpio will be the first console that will allow you to play games in 4K but at the same time, it also depends on the developer/publisher as they may not even target that. For the publishers to put money into 4K, they would have to be extremely confident that there's a substantial user install base of 4K TV's that gamers play games on. Right now, it's still minimal.Comment
