Also if you have some games that you do not want throw those in as well and it will lower your out of pocket
Another suggestion is sell the xbox for 140 on CL or 160 and throw in a game or two and pay less then 100 for the new slim on black fridayComment

Re: Xbox One
It is going to be very interesting next fall when Scorpio comes out. They have a shot to completely turn the tables on Sony and take the U.S
The PRO is what Sony will have for the next 3 or more years and Scorpio needs to not make the same mistakes that the PRO did and have a good price point along with a better message to the customers
Can you imagine the Scorpio reveal early next year or E3 with EA at the stage showing Madden 18 4K 60fps no compromises/ YikeessComment

I'm very interested in hearing news about the Scorpio next year. Excited to hear what they may offer in VR/HoloLens support. However, I have a fear. Especially price. Don't want to bring politics in here because its against TOS but we're aware where both of these consoles are manufactured. A 45% tariff imposed on overseas manufacturing is in the works. It would probably beComment

Re: Xbox One
Not worried about Scorpio, more of the same with more power in an ecosystem I own hundreds of games in. Easy sell even at $499 or whatever.
I'm really interested at where the industry goes from there. If Sony sticks to their guns and releases a Playstation 5 and goes the software reset route or if they follow Microsoft's lead and continue to release iterative consoles with full backward compatibility. Will Sony really let the PS4 Pro be their final salvo this generation (debatably a new generation anyways) and let it sit for years after the Scorpio releases, or release something in ~3 years only to be outclassed again 12-18 months later?
Just feels like it would take a lot of stupid for the Scorpio to do poorly, even with a higher price than some would like.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Also, you might try Spectrum, since Charter Spectrum bought out Time warner. I think there are two Spectrum choices now. One for Charter, and one for everyone else.Comment

I don't even have a 4K TV yet, so waiting makes the most sense. We may get a TV over the holidays, so maybe an XB1 S will tide me over to Scorpio. But I will probably just wait.Comment

I think it forces a PS5 to go the same route, but makes it easy for Microsoft to respond quickly with an even beefier system. Microsoft can pummel a cash strapped Sony this way.
But this does require Scorpio to provide some significant exclusives and maybe VR done right. Can Crackdown 3 be that game? Halo 6? Gears 4.5?
Microsoft still has a tough hill to climb in terms of mindshare, but they have exclusive titles that can still make a difference. Sony won this gen on power, not exclusive titles. Other than Uncharted, there just aren't any must have exclusives. And if Sony doesn't match Microsoft's commitment to full compatibility with the PS4, it will be a huge whiff.
While you will see the requisite, "Halo is over" comments, Halo 5' multiplayer put them back on the map. Gears is outstanding. Forza produces a steady stream of fantastic racers. Quantum Break was a miss, but still solid enough to make me want to see a Scorpio powered remedy game.
I just think Microsoft will have an easier time going forward.Comment
