I haven't seen anything, so guess if it's a thing they'll announce close to release. My One S is all digital anyway, but do use the drive for 4K movies.

Yeah...I just like not having to move discs around anyways, and if I buy some game on a killer sale then it'd be nice to transfer that to digital...basically introducing the sales of physical to digital

Microsoft Rewards had 3 months of Game Pass as the hot deal for 25% off (normally 18k, now 13,500). I had barely enough after today's searches to get it thankfully....now I just grind a few more months and hopefully keep ahead of it (mine expires in September now lol)

Looks like digital One S launching 5/7.

Following up on our previous reveal of the Xbox One S All-Digital console, we now have a bit more information, as well as the box art and tentative release date.

Looking into this more, would signify that MS has a ton for E3 without this....normally this would be a somewhat big deal, or at least part of the presentation.

Yeah, a little strange to me that this is pre-E3. Would have thought it would have been a week-of type of thing...

xCloud is going to be the star of E3 I think, for better or worse. We'll see what the value proposition is.

I agree...and the more powerful Xbox (and price drop of X?).

Just odd, but hopefully they have tons of games and xCloud and all that to push that it's a ton. Sometimes they underwhelm cause the 1st party pipeline was thin, but they're trying to address that.

I was also randomly thinking about a trend that never caught on: Phones as game maps/screens. I remember being excited for Fallout 4 to have this, and even got a thing for the controller that'll hold the phone. I can't think of another game that utilizes this feature.

I remember when Madden 25 came out with coach glass. I was super excited. I thought it would become a standard thing for sports games. It didn't. Would have been cool though if it did.

Now a few games here and there use a smartphone/tablet for maps. But for the most part, they just have game apps where you can check your stats. Lost opportunity IMO.

That's the kind of think I hope we see with AR also. Wear a hololens style device, play on your TV but have a whole experience outside of that portal into the game. Playbooks, replays, etc.

That could be cool, and AR could be cheaper vs. VR, but we'll see.

My rant about the garbage Xbox controllers. My issue is the quality of the controllers. The headphone jack in particular. I’ve had 4 different controller headphone jacks go bad after a month or so. And the Xbox doesn’t allow voice chat over USB which is another head scratcher which would help with the issue.

I have 2 Xbox one x at home and one is mainly used by my son. He likes to connect his headsets via the headphone jack on the controller and it goes out way too fast. I googled the issue and found out it’s a wide spread problem. Some suggest opening the controller and soldering the headphone jack to the little module and that fixes the problem but why won’t Microsoft acknowledge this?

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this at all. It’s so frustrating to me and I’m tired of buying controllers and it happening.

There's no doubt the quality of the Xbox controllers have gotten significantly worse.

I've not had issues with the headphone jack but the bumpers breaking, the A button sticking and the thumbsticks sticking/not responding have all happened to me and a buddy rather frequently.

Never had that issue but I did have my Elite controller develop an issue outside of warranty, I took it to the local Microsoft store and they gave me a new one. Something to consider.

I guess I’ll give it a try. It’s 4 controllers I have at home with the same headphone jack issues..

I go through about 3 controllers a year just by myself. The headphone jacks go bad, the shoulder buttons go bad, and the sticks lose their neutrality.
