Is there a warranty on the refurbs? I’d honestly be fine with that only if they are willing to repair any issues I have for the life of the console.

You know what? I didn't ask. I figured I'd wait until they receive my box and test it then ultimately decide whether they're fixing it, or just sending me a refurb/replacement. I'll definitely ask if it's the replacement route. I cant remember what happened in the RROD days of the 360. I think they had an additional year on those from the replacement date, didn't they?

My ultimate plan here will likely be wait until this one comes back. I'll then likely put it upstairs where it will rarely get used, then trade in my original XB1 for a new X for the "gaming room". Either that or I trade one of them in for a PS4 so I have one of each system. Talked to EB Games here today, they'll give me decent value for the original XB1, to upgrade it to an X. Only problem is it's the white fallout bundle, and I don't want white since everything else I own is black. Chances are I won't do any of this, ill just get it back and plug it in, because... well, these things aren't cheap. lol

Microsoft will let u cross shop if you can guarantee with a credit card. That way you get the new console much quicker.

Rumor: Next 2 Xbox SKUs to be announced at E3.
According to the website, the consoles are code-named “Lockhart” and “Anaconda.” Lockhart is a entry level device without a disc drive and focused on digital, while Anaconda is a high-end device priced similarly to Xbox One X at launch.

            ...

JeuxVideo states that release is scheduled for the end of 2020, and that Halo Infinite will be a launch title. Halo Infinite will reportedly also be available for Xbox One and PC, as originally announced, as “Microsoft is seeking to get rid of the concept of console generations.”

As for other titles, the website reports that the next game by Ninja Theory, a newly acquired Microsoft studio, will be available in early 2020.

Their 2019 E3 will be similar to that of their 2016 E3 where they revealed the Slim and announced Scorpio which became X a year later. Expecting Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport 8, possibly Forza Horizon 5 as well and unless it releases in May 2020, the big one - Cyberpunk 2077 as launch titles.

Ninja Theory's title is codenamed Bleeding Edge and I for one am looking forward to seeing what it is at E3 2019.

I wonder if they'll keep the Xbox One X around and it becomes cheaper? or what the strategy will be going forward with the various skus. I do like how all the same games will play on everything, the lack of a new "generation" so far is nice.

I think they will for a good while because it's a quite capable system. And if you look at it like a PC type thing, older computers usually stay around for a long time after new stuff comes out (like 1060 video card vs 2080)

How long is anyone's guess but I'd say for several years at least..

Makes sense to me! I like the strategy, and if they can make it profitable to do (create new systems) then everyone benefits.

For those with Dolby Atmos setups at home or good headphones and paid for Dolby atmos licensing to use with headphones try out Shadow of the tomb raider. Easily the best audio implementation of Dolby Atmos in any game I’ve played. It’s a masterpiece. Sounds come from every angle. This is a good game, but I’m enjoying this game a lot more due to the great sound.

If a new console is announced for this year, do you think developers already have that info? I'm asking because I remember when the PS4 came out, 2K released two different versions of NBA 2K14. Do you guys see something like that happening again?
