What blinders? My 360 is always connected to the Internet. As well as many other people's 360's.

When I get my XB-1 guess what? It will always be connected to the Internet. So I don't see what the issue is.

Just because what MS if proposing isn't an issue for people doesn't mean we have blinders on.

And what about gamers who don't use the Internet?

It isn't just about "you people". That is quite selfish. "Well it doesn't effect me parse!"

      Think about it.

(And the new term "vision" to soften the blow of what it really is, controlling DRM. Come on now. MLK had a vision. Let's not kid ourselves.)

I'm not trying to be disrespectful or troll you, but you must live in some fantasy world. Most people in the world are selfish to an extent (completly different discussion) I'm almost 1,000,000 percent positive the gaming community isn't immune to this. People, right or wrong, will put their personal gaming ahead of what is good for everyone else. I know do and will continue to do so.
Am I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next week

In what world is less customers a good thing? Why alienate 27 million people? The military? etc.

Literally doesnt make any sense from a business standpoint

And that is where the separation and division in the gaming industry is/will be unhealthy if it succeeds.

That is not "growth". That goes from a circle as it should be for a healthy industry, consumers included, to a pyramid.

Sounds just like that A&F guy to me. If your ugly then we don't need your business.

It's a load of bull in my opinion to shut everyone else out and just give to a certain type of person.

I do have a problem with the always online thing, but I feel like a lot of the XB-1 positives outweigh for me some of the fallbacks. Is it right? That's not for me to determine. This is the progression of technology for better or worse.

I am obviously aware of that. The fact is, there is NOTHING about an always connected microphone/camera, 24 hour Internet check, and DRM on used games that can be pro "personal preference of selfishness" to even the most jaded gamer.

Let's not kid ourselves. Saying, "it doesn't effect me" is one thing, "saying who cares about anyone else because it doesn't effect me", will only hurt you in the end eventually.

Every company markets to a certain group of people. Few ever have the balls to come straight out and say what they're doing. Microsoft for better or worse (TBD) has said they are marketing strictly to the gamer who's always online.

The problem with that is, a lot of gamers who are always online hate those policies.

DRM on used games is apart of both console of this generation and will be on the upcoming generation of games. The kinect can be turned off and I believe a lot of the paranoia abou that calls a different discussion. The 24 hour check in thing does annoy me. I wish it wasn't there or if it is a must give a bigger window 72-96 hours.

No PR guy here. I'm just a realist. The gaming industry is changing. For better or for worse, but it's a changing.

If your not ready there's nothing's wrong with that. When your ready you'll jump in.

I don't see what the problem is. People have something called a "CHOICE" it's the most profound thing we have in life. Why because it's ours not somebody else's.

If this policy is so draconian as suggested then people will vote with their wallets.

I just don't see how what they are doing makes you gain a bigger audience to buy your product.

If anything you lose them. I mean if you were knew to gaming why would you choose the Xbox One over say the PS4 or Wii U?

If your a online guy and can do all that stuff then the Xbox One delivers, but if not it just seems like they are saying. "We're the cool kids, and we only care about our group nobody else". While the other system seem like they wanna befriend everybody no matter who you are.

I don't know though I'm still on the fence about which one I want.
