I think it's also why EA has recently come out and publicly admit that they were wrong. That the Online Pass wasn't worth all the negative feedback and impact to the consumers. And they also did a good job by distancing themselves from Microsoft and had nothing to do with the formerly implemented used game/drm policy. Hopefully it's a sign that EA's learned its lesson.

Re: Xbox One
That means in a few years I had better snatch up a new 360 to hold onto. I still use my old Xbox from time to time because I hate the 360 emulator (specifically for KOTOR and NFL2k5), and some games don't emulate (IndyCar Racing 2005 and some others).GO 'HAWKS!

Re: Xbox One
What irks me about both the PS4 and X-one is lack of backward compatibility (unless I've missed something).
These are good-sized systems, and now I'll have three or four systems hooked up just to keep up with my library.
I hope MS has as high a commitment to keeping 360s on the store shelf as Sony did with the PS2.
The switch in architecture of the systems made it impossible to have backwards compatibility.
Also, MS looks like they actually are very committed to the 360 unlike they were with the Xbox. Don't think you'll see it disappear for at least 5 years or so is my guess.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Xbox One
PS4 will have it via streaming from Gaikai at some point, but not at launch. Won't be compatible with any of your saves though.

Re: Xbox One
I guess we will see. Remember though, EA caught some slack for charging to get online with a preowned game. They pioneered it and others followed and haven't turned back. If they can manage something to where they get profit, they will.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. There isnt much benefit to adding DRM to the console level after the storm MS just went through. The first publishers to try this on console again this upcoming gen will have to be brazen beyond belief.Comment

Re: Xbox One
On/Off topic, the mods on OS are some of the best anywhere around. So complaining how they handle things is just ridiculous in my opinion(I've received infractions before so no I'm not a kiss ***). Most know I share my view points positive or negative. It is how you say things that make the difference guys, learn this.Last edited by Phobia; 06-20-2013, 03:57 PM.Comment

and I have infractions too. I did my time.
Even with these changes I have to go X1. Having a camera always on to have a working console just isn't my thing.YNWAComment

Re: Xbox One
I honestly dont think we have anything to fear from EA (in terms of DRM at least). The consoles dont support rigid DRM anymore, all they can do is online passes and EA has vowed that online passes are dead. They seem to be in a state of PR repair after being declared the worst company on the planet time and time again by the masses.
