The problem with this is that besides MLB the show, uncharted and God of war the rest of the exclusives weren't too good. Some not even worth mentioning.

That's just your opinion, because there's a ton of good games there that you didn't mention which also received critical praise (Ni No Kuni, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, Yakuza 4&5, Little Big Planet, Tales of Xillia, Dragon's Crown, The Last of Us). There's also a few that haven't been released yet but are likely going to be alright (Beyond: Two Souls, Puppeteer Gran Turismo 6).

I agree - both systems have some quality exclusives at this point. I really wanted to go with just one system, but have decided to just purchase both at launch - still worried I will have one system just sitting around collecting dust.

Non of those games you mentioned were system sellers or great, but that's my opinion. Gran turismo 5 required like 20 updates to become decent and I found forza to be better and more fun. Gran turismo 6 might be great but that's not out yet. I'm not arguing that Sony didn't have more exclusives. I'm saying very few were GREAT.

I'm in the same boat, I'll have both consoles but I really don't want to pay for both consoles' online services. I don't feel I'll be on one of the two eventually, often enough to justify the payment for the service.

I think that perhaps for the first year I may have both, eventually cancelling one. One may end up gathering dust as you said but I plan on keeping both.

I really have no preference, it is going to be all about the games and I realize certain games will only release on one of the two consoles.

That was my problem as well. I wanted just one console, but I know I'll end up with both..

I am still super-conflicted about which system to get. I love Forza, and Sony doesn't really have anything to compete with that in my mind. Overall I have enjoyed my 360 much more than my PS3. But the $100 higher price and mandatory Kinect really turns me off.

I don't care about Skype, cable integration, or any of that stuff. If they would drop the price I would buy. I'm just going to play GTA V, NBA 2K14, PES and other current gen sports games until the price drops.

Unless I'm misunderstanding right now. Kinect is no long needed to be hook up to turn the Xbox off and on. They done said that not to long ago. But I understand your concern with the 100$ and force to have to get the kinect with the system. But you no longer have to have it hook up to the system run the system. It is an option now.

I know TONS of Xbox only consumers that talk about how bad they wished they had a PS3 just for "The Last Of Us".

This won't be the last time this happens though. PS4's exclusives are going to be miles ahead of XBone's, mark it down.

I'm by no means a Sony fanboy but Sony has everything on it's side. And the main point is "games", exclusives. They have tons of top exclusives on the rise and coming for PS4 only it's ridiculous how many top ones they have over MS.

Question, can you name the last exclusive MS had that you actually cared about?

I just pre ordered the Xbox one on the Microsoft store about two weeks ago. Does this guarantee me a Xbox one on the day it release or not necessarily?

You are severely underestimating controller and online loyalty.

And most players play cross system games.

I'm sure a lot will by the XB1 and that's cool. It's simply not something I'd do(until I cave in ) and I'm a HUGE XBOX fan..loyalty or not.
So I'm not underestimating anything since all my comments are about ME not anyone else.
I could care less how anyone else spends their $.
