I highly doubt you can, but can you give us any prospect of what you are working on to make this system more amazing in 5 years from now?

I can't even imagine what you're planning with your first major update.

Right now, we're all working on resting Well I will be starting on Sunday. We'll get back to the grind in January.

However, I can't even start to talk about that stuff. If I say one thing it becomes a promise, if we don't do it then it's terrible PR.

You saw what the internet echo chamber did with us over the last 9 months right? Some of that was certainly our fault, but there was a super vocal minority trashing everything (especially TV) and now that the majority gets to use it, they love it.

Sure, we have bugs, but they'll get fixed and I have confidence in our software and services. That's what Microsoft and Xbox does.

Back to your original question - here's 1 hint: Imagine something cool we can do with TV and your living room. We probably brainstormed it That means it was either cut because:
a) It was technically impossible/infeasible
b) It was too creepy to do
c) We didn't have time but we totally want to bring it back later

I honestly did think you made a huge mistake in PR with your original features and I think most Xbox fans on OS would agree. We all loved your whole buying a digital game, being able to share it with 10 friends deal but I don't think you marketed it well enough. Same with the always-on. You always had us hardcore gamers when you mentioned that and I hope you eventually go back to implementing those. I completely understand the PR disaster scenario which is why I wasn't expecting any actual response.

Ok so here's my take on both consoles. So far, Ryse, Killer Instinct and Dead Rising are very fun. However, third party games are noticeably lacking behind the PS4 versions. Battlefield, Madden, and NBA 2k all have noticeable framerate issues. My Xbox One I'll use for exclusives and Battlefield because I have a lot of people that play on both. In my opinion, Sony won the initial console war.

To me if you run your cable or satellite box through the xbox one it seems like it should always be full on because if you turn the xbox one off there is NO HDMI Passthrough if xbox one is off, unless I'm missing something in the settings?

That wouldn't fly with my wife either. She can't even use the pvr nevermind that plus the XBone......lol

I haven't had not one single frame rate issue up to this point. Everything has been flawless.

Same. I have Fifa 14 and AC: Black Flag and both have been silky smooth.

I have to say that I'm very impressed with the Xbox One so far, although the voice commands have been a little hit and miss at times. They will work great for a while but then it seems like I'll have to repeat something two or three times times to "wake it up" to get it working again. I have no doubt that Microsoft will improve the reliability of voice commands though and that will probably replace my remote for most TV channel surfing when they do.

In fact I like the console so much that I'm already considering buying a second one to put in the living room so I won't be restricted to using it only in my game room.

Couple if quick questions

What's the best display setting on the Xbox one

Is there a way to set kinnect to only recognize my voice during a game. Playing madden it kept calling timeouts when my son was talking. I thought it recognized only the profiles voice.

Are there any Kinect Titles coming out for younger kids? Seems like there's not much in the pipeline. My wife is talking about keeping the system, but really not sure what's to come in the near future. I'd like DR3, perhaps Ryse, but other than that, nothing really excites me. Not a FPS gamer, so Titanfall, etc does nothing for me.

I want to keep it for the kids/wife if there's something fun coming down the pipeline.

I don't mind the xbox one always being on since my wife and kids can still use the normal directv remote anyway, you don't have to use the xbox oneguide but how much power consumption does xbox one use when it's on watching TV???

So far I'm loving this BEASTLY machine. I'm sure it has it's drawbacks but right now I'm very excited about this machine and it's possibilities.
