This last Tomb Raider was really really good! I played and finished it for current Gen and next gen. Really excited about the direction of the game and the franchise on a whole.

I think MS is trying to have this be their Uncharted....Hard shoes to fill MS but love that you are looking for the Homer instead of a slap single

Microsoft learned from their mistakes and are leading Xbox in the right direction. They did a great job today..

Which is what a good company does. E3 was ok for MS but they came with the guns today for sure. And in the monthly update.

Sony has the hardware advantage but when it comes to software MS still king

One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is that they are adding pre-downloading. They have only announced it for Forza Horizon and FIFA so far. I hope they have it for the Master Chief Collection, as that's probably the only game I'd want to buy digitally since I know I'll never want to trade it in.

That new update sounds awesome! I can't watch the video of the stream of the presentation in the other thread because I'm at work right now. However, will that update remove the need for at least a 500GB USB 3.0 device to connect to the One for playing MP3's and AVI's etc?? If so, it pretty much means it can only be a hard drive, not a USB stick itself like on the 360 (which was limited anyways).

Or is it possible for me to unhook my external HD from the XB1, connect it to my computer, copy AVI/MP3 files to it and then plug it back into the XB1 for it to play the media files and still store game content?

I hate third party exclusives, especially ones involving existing IP. This Tomb Raider purchase really rubs me the wrong way. Businesses win, while gamers lose.

Plus I remember when Tomb Raider came out it was selling well but not necessarily meeting expectations or whatever, so this probably guarantees Square or whoever a win with that game.

Huge win for MS. IMO this combats Uncharted (the reboot was somewhat Uncharted with a woman). Big big exclusive. Love what MS is doing as of late.

I understand your point, but all the anger in the gaming press about this amuses me. If Sony did this then everyone would pat them on the back saying "Sony's the gamer's console! Look, they've got exclusives". How is it ok if Sony does it but not MS? Just don't understand that hypocritical behavior when it comes to the companies.

Seems more to me that the majority (PS4 owners) are whiny when MS finally does to Sony what Sony's been doing to MS for a while. No one's crying that "No Man's Sky" (or whatever the name is) is a Sony exclusive....

Am I off base here?
