Re: Xbox One
So some things.
My kinect does not work as it wont even turn on. I tried everything told to me on You Tube and by MS themselves and it is just broken.
I have to return it today and wait about 2 weeks to get my new or fixed kinect back.
Also Battlefield 4 on EA Access is such a great game today after fixing many of the issues. I am having a blast even though I have it on PS4 and it looks better on PS4 for sure but I would trade pixels for the awesome XB1 controller which It just feels better for shooters online and sports games like Madden.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have two complaints with it really... First, I wish it had a light of some sort on it similar to the PS4 controllers so I knew which controller was which player when using multiple controllers with the console.
Secondly, I wish it was a bit bigger. However, I probably have bigger hands than the average person as well though. It's still comfortable though.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: Xbox One
The triggers are great. No issues there. I'm just not a fan of the joysticks. It's just really hard for me to look past them. I thought I'd get used to them, but six months later, I'm still not a fan.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I think in still having trouble with my disk drive. NBA 2k14 won't work at all and after I try 2k I have trouble with other games unless I hard reset. Every other game I have works though.
Also when I watch a Blu ray I sometimes have to insert the disc a few tines before it works.
Might have to bite the bullet and call Microsoft. Or am I better off falling best buy since I bought it there at launch? I can't even remember if I did the geek squad thing. I'll have to find my receipt.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I waffled between PS4 and Xbone and finally went with the Xbox.
I do like the system, and once I got over not being able to load movies off my Usb stick I adjusted from that. I must say that OneDrive is fantastic for streaming films. The only issue is it takes way too long to upload them. So I upload 2-3 when I leave for work and then have them ready to go whenever I need them after that.
The games themselves are not that impressive...yet. I thought the MMA and FIFA demos were terrible, and there is not much content right now. No I don't want a free dragon game, and no, I don't want free Hulu and Netflix.
Titanfall is not incredibly better than the 360 version, but it is still a blast.
The controller to me is far better. The sticks are much more fine tuned for FPS now and I am really happy with how solid it feels. Makes the old controller feel cheap to me.
The reality - I bought this for the future, which starts next month with Destiny..then COD, Sunset Overdrive and the tons of others games coming out that actually look Next Gen.
So for me this was a purchase I had to make.
I definitely love how much faster the dashboard is..how I can record my last game and upload it easily(I don't even have Kinect, and it's fine for me). The entire system is much more responsive and allows me to multitask and make changes while the game is playing. I also love how you can pin your game and it loads up instantly.
A lot of positives here. So I am happy, but more looking forward too whats coming while twiddling my thumbs and streaming some films and playing TF.Comment

Re: Xbox One
The best MS could probably do for the 360, as I said above, would most likely be a service akin to PSNow.
Disc based emulation is probably out of the realm of possibility this gen, unless they redid the hardware of the box.
Sony ran into the same thing with the launch fat system having the ps2 chip in it.
It's just not really technically feasible. Also, there's not much of a market/care for OG XBox anymore. Hell, there isn't even a working commercial emulator for PC, both because of how difficult it is and because... nobody really cares all that much.
What they really need to do to help themselves is bring home X1 must play exclusive IP's. That's just the bottom line. They do that and they are in the game. Forget all this other stuff. Reboot exclusive IP's, continue to work on existing exclusive IP's, and get creative NEW must play exclusive IP's. All that other stuff is just sprinkles on the icing on the cake. Bake a good cake and put some tasty icing on it first. Right now they have the ingredients, but the cake isn't baking yet.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Well, is there anything coming out with an X in the title? If not that's all I think it is, lack of available letters for the PR
I also prefer the 360 to the One. It's equal parts not playing the One enough and the bumpers on the newer controller just not feeling right. I've also not really gotten much out of that fancy fumble in the controller.Comment

Re: Xbox One
When it's cheaper to just own them. 99% of the games on Original Xbox you can still buy and barely pay 5 bucks to own....
When BC will be a simple patch....SMH on that logic.Last edited by Behindshadows; 08-11-2014, 12:42 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I like the One controller over 360 now, but it took me a bit to learn how to easily hit the bumper buttons (LB, RB). If you try and reach your finger it feels awkward, but you can hit them with minimal movement with how your hand naturally sits on the controller if you realize it.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
