Could see some less literal uses in some games, explosions of color expressing momentum and building up to a score huge shots/fast breaks/touchdowns. Some of the shaking effect on tackles, fouls, the jubilation of a home run breaking through the black frame in front of you and into the entire wall.

Neat concept, would be neater I'd anything ever came of it.

Weather effects are what really excite me. Walking around in a Skyrim or GTA-like world with the weather showing up in the room would do a lot for immersion. As for sports, they could use it to show the inside of stadiums/arenas and coupled with surround sound, that would be really cool. I've also seen people say that they could use it to extend the HUD outside of the game so that the screen would be free of anything and possibly controlling things that are projected outside the screen.

These kinds of things are great in concept but lets see it and it would have to be something that will last... no more cheap kinect like ideas that people will eventually not even bother with.

With the eye tracking capabilities speculated/expected with the next version of Kinect, combined with this, there's the first really viable first-person football. Hard to simulate peripheral vision looking at a window without the ridiculous fisheye views.

Probably early enough in the dev cycle to mandate queues in games for this kind of thing too if they wanted unless they could do it dynamically/generically based on music or something.

I think it is awesome. Forward thinking, we need more of it in the industry.

a real fp view would only work for certain games or levels

Sure it would work in sports like football if you're only the qb, or bball if you're playing my player or something like that....

If you have to control your teammates then thats not a good idea unless the game has to continue to flash to each player everytime you make a pass.... that would get annoying

Personally I don't care about this. Smart AI and better on screen graphics is all I want.

This stuff is nice but no not necessary, at least to me.

I would agree. This is another peripheral, not the main thing. Sometimes I just want to say, "Whoah..how about we get some of the things you already started down and then promote these newer things."

I thought that demo looked pretty cool, I hope there's a 3D aspect to it as well, gaming is pretty cool in 3D if you haven't tried it.

If I can have shrapnel coming from the TV AND the rest of my living room well that would be worth the price of admission.

This isn't the Madden forum, and I'm not going to turn it into that. But here's my quick thoughts:

A lot of what's inherently wrong w/ Madden today can be fixed with with a real locomotion infrastructure (not that M11 garbage) and an investment in OL/DL interactions. Those are the biggest complaints about Madden and I for one think it's conceivable that those will be addressed when the Madden releases on the next consoles.

I'm a middle of the ground guy when it comes to Madden. It's not as good as few make it out to be, but it's not quite as bad as many others suggest either. There are some things to build on in M13 (passing game, physics, DB techniques, etc). The entire game doesn't need to be torn down for the franchise to move forward.

yeah i dont see fp view working for sports games where u control multiple people. But i'd love to have this in a FPS...it is essentially a poor mans AMD Eyefinity / Nvidia Surround for the console

The only way I see a sports game working with this system is this:

The TV screen would have to be only the court zoomed in maybe the first two rows or so on screen, while the rest of crowd would be put onto the walls.

Most sports games can't get the crowd sounds right..never mind putting them on the walls.

                            But, your idea would work.

I don't know man..since you're using the TV it's not a true full projection type deal

I'm not seeing this as a laying appeal unless they do something ground breaking with it

I like the concept but not a big fan of having a projector back in my room somewhere.

When we moved to the new house I got rid of the surround sound since the wires were just too annoying and unattractive, so I don't want to have some projector in the back of the room.

Even if it's front of the room it's still something sitting around. I doubt it could be inside Kinect, because it wouldn't work for wall mounted TV's with kinect on top really.

No matter what though I love the innovation and thoughts about something different.
