The same way you normally play sports games...? It's not replacing your TV or anything. Just adding extra ambiance.

This looks great, but here's the problem. They have to find a way to move the stuff you see on the wall to your TV screen. Now they could allow from some interaction using kinect.

When you turn your head to the right, the object should move the left until it gets to the TV screen. That is going to be a little weird as you turn back left to see the screen. I guess it could become commonplace, but for now I see developers struggling with how to use it.

When you turn your head to the right, the object should move the left until it gets to the TV screen. That is going to be a little weird as you turn back left to see the screen. I guess it could become commonplace, but for now I see developers struggling with how to use it.

They're going to be using the Kinect to track your head and eyes to determine what you're seeing and how much detail is needed. Apparently, they're now able to use the eye tracking to make what you're looking at look as good as the game while turning down the detail on the peripheral stuff.

I want to believe they did learn. I remember an article that quoted Cam Weber saying it won't be a complete rebuild. They will take what works well now to next gen and build the rest to complete it.

Basically ripping out all the bad code and re-writing it. But that is a good thing imo. I don't want a complete rebuild, unless they had like 4 years to do it.

Which means we have a problem unfortunately. Movement does not work well now. Ratings and their relation to one another are difficult to explain. Outside of some really really basic stuff, what works well now?

Honestly, I found a lot of that distracting. Definitely "cool", as far as tech goes, but I didn't really care for it as far as gaming goes, at least not after my first walkthrough.

Don't know if that is official but the current Kinect only has front facing cam. So assuming the new one will have 360 cam..?? if this is all on the up and up for this coming gen sometime.

I thought it was a little strange at first too, then I watched it again like I was playing the games - I'd only be looking at the TV - and it's much more effective IMO. Would think it'd be pretty incredible in person, and depending on your setup.

Yes you did.. and I understand you can't see what's going on in my head with what im asking, but they didn't show a lick of that in the video for one, and two I don't think the environment in say nba 2k is the same as some fps game

Again, it was a question and Jmood you pick out one statement out of everything I said to cause some kind of a stir? I am not interested in nit picking arguments man.

...again, for this you have to play in the dark which is okay I guess... at the moment that seems on the level of 3D in games to me..unless you just love gaming in the dark, how often would you use this?

That may be true.. Im not knocking it at all... its essentially a projector image. I don't know how many of us here have used one to play a game, but its not bad at all when put on a huge wall, but depending on the game, pictures running over couches and furniture kind of takes away from that beyond the direct view picture.. I dont want to say distraction... it just doesn't blend well like that.
