Re: Xbox One
Microsoft sure has been evasive in their responding to questions about always on etc.. I'm all for it so it doesn't bother me with what they are doing with Kinect and other things. To me it's the next natural step.
But it's like talksng to a politician when you see how they respond to questions.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Everywhere I see people saying, "But EVERYONE will have a Kinect so devs can do stuff with it because they know you have it!"
To those saying that: What makes you think anyone will develop for the kinect, aside from the gimmicky stuff we have now?
95% of big released are third-party multi-platform games. They aren't developing them with use of the kinect in mind, because that would mean that a core game function wouldn't work on the PS4.
So we're back to where we started - gimmicky kinect games made for kids, and tacked-on kinect features in other games that bring not much at all (if anything) to the game.badComment

Re: Xbox One
I'm sure that there will be some gimmicky games, but I prefer to spend my time thinking about the developers who will use their creativity to do worthwhile things with Kinect. I've seen enough cool non-gaming stuff that others have done with the ****ty version of Kinect to get excited about the possibilities of what developers can do when they actually spend time on it.Everywhere I see people saying, "But EVERYONE will have a Kinect so devs can do stuff with it because they know you have it!"

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I'm not saying they will, I'm just saying this is MS's motivation for making it required.Everywhere I see people saying, "But EVERYONE will have a Kinect so devs can do stuff with it because they know you have it!"

Same with PS move...if it wasn't required no dev would make crap for it.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

If the PS4 follows through with anything like this I may just bow out entirely when next-gen hits.Comment
