Re: Xbox One
Then again they did probably throw a huge pile of money at Square Enix (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy) to release on the One as well, so who knows?
This is pretty much going to come down to who can get League of Legends and/or DOTA first.Comment

I don't know man. Time will tell if ignoring the Japanese market completely is a smart move for Microsoft.

You go look at www.vgchartz.com, which I'll acknowledge as not being completely accurate, but they list the 360 at 1.5m sales. Japan won't matter for the Xbox One's success.
Also, since FFXIII released on 360 did Microsoft have to pay a lot for XV and Kingdom Hearts?Comment

New console releases are still bringing out the childishness in people. Never fails.
The bottom line is that both consoles are going to get a ton of money from us. They both have great offerings - it's really all about perspective and what works best for you.Last edited by ScoobySnax; 06-16-2013, 09:52 PM.Originally posted by J. Re: Xbox One
Let me be clear as one of the Forum Administrators:
This is not the "Xbox 1 Positivity Thread." It is the "Xbox 1 Discussion Thread." That means any discussion about XB1, negative or positive, can be posted in this thread as long as its not considered trolling. Same goes for the PS4 thread.
So stop complaining about negative posts. The ones that are considered trolling will be dealt with. As for the other ones, you can choose to ignore the post or change the subject by posting other things about the console.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Here let me be clear so nobody thinks I am trying to troll the Xbox One thread here. I bought the Playstation then Playstation 2. I ended up getting the Original Xbox and from that point on I was an Xbox guy. As I said I have gone through 3 or 4 different Xbox 360's which I paid in full. No free repairs, nothing. I had a PS3 at some point too, but I just preferred the Xbox 360 over the PS3.
I was going into this generation expecting to get the next Xbox didn't even really think about the next Playstation. However after all this news started coming out about the Xbox One it started to really disappoint me. After I watched E3 and got a good bit of information on both consoles I decided the better value IMO was the PS4 for a lot of reasons. The reason I have been so hard on the Xbox One is because that was like my baby and I felt really betrayed by them when they put all these restrictions and rules on it.
Does the Xbox One of cool features and good ideas? Absolutely, but they have some big disadvantages to a lot of people. So much so that people are leaning toward the PS4. IMO if you are going to be choosing a console it should be because it is the better console not because the one you really wanted was a disappointment or not what you would expect from a game console. PS4 is a great console so don't get me wrong and thinking I am only getting PS4 for these reasons. I am just saying. Now will I get both consoles? Of course I will. Xbox One has cool features and great exclusives. It's just sad to see the Xbox One go down the road it has chosen. Now could it end up being better than it's made out to be? Yes, but as it looks right now not so much.Last edited by TheBuddyHobbs; 06-16-2013, 10:13 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
So preordered my Xbox 1 and watch dogs. Will end up adding Battlefield 4 and Madden 25 to that collection. And looking forward to Destiny and The Division to add to that collection in the future.
I just feel that the online experience was better on Live and the restrictions don't bother me to much and the Family Share could turn into a big thing for me, as I usually don't have the money to buy all the single player games I would love to play and usually get the multiplayer games first so being able to try those games out would be great.
I hope that Microsoft has a vision if it is the steam like model and they pull it off it could be great, and could really separate the two systems even more. Because I couldn't see both systems going towards that model or a lot of gamers would be left in the dark. I see these two systems going in different directions and I hope they both succeed because that would be great for the industry that I love. I don't want to see either console fail and I hope every gamer gets to enjoy the system they bought regardless of the reasons behind it.Comment

Re: Xbox One
See I think if you go digital you don't even need Gamefly which in my opinion would make it more likely to happen. I could see publishers offering licenses that last 2-5 days, but only allowing you to rent it once. After renting it you would only have the option to purchase it from that point forward. Going digital allows for a lot of flexibility down the line.Comment

The Xbone may have a lot of subscription based transactions if Microsofts other endeavors are a clue.Comment
