Absolutely not Art, it makes you a customer simply exercising their right to choose - and done in a mature fashion. Now if you want to get on here and say you're choosing the Xbox one over the PS4, and then proceed to tell me how I am an idiot for choosing the PS4 and go onto describe the PS4 in a less then factual way - then you would be a troll and a fanboy all wrapped up into one.

That BF4 gameplay looked so smooth.

I know this is already getting off topic, but you keep mentioning this every time there's a comparison between the two consoles, and I'm not sure if you fully understand why this was the case and why it likely won't matter for the next generation.

The CPU on the PS3, the IBM CELL (~220 GFLOPS), was theoretically more powerful than the 360's Xenon (~115 GFLOPS). The CELL is still even theoretically more powerful than what's going to go into the Xbox One and PS4 (112 & 102 GFLOPS).

The 360 had a much better GPU than the PS3, though. The Xenos in the 360 had theoretical peak performances of 240 GFLOPS compared with the PS3's RSX which was benched at only 176 GFLOPS.

The reason that the raw numbers didn't show up in how most multiplatform games looked was because the PS3's CELL and RSX were notoriously difficult to develop for. The PS3 also had less memory to work with, non-unified RAM, multiple SPEs, weaker GPU. Since the GPU was weaker in the PS3, developers had to try to overcome the difference by using the CELL's SPEs.

Sony's first party studios were pretty much the only ones to put the effort into doing so because they had the time and resources to do so, which is why their games were some of the best looking ones this past generation. It's a completely different situation than what we'll be seeing with the new consoles.

            Re: Xbox One

I've owned ps3 and 360 both. Been more of a ps3 guy simply because two RROD's scared me away from 360. However on this next system I've decided to go with the One next gen for a pretty simple reason: availability.

I jumped on the next gen reserve wagon a little late and seeing as how I don't see there being any difference between the two and Forza is coming out on One I am satisfied with my choice.

                Xbox Fitness Announced

The Xbox team reached another milestone today with the introduction of “Xbox Fitness,” a new online service built exclusively for Xbox One that takes the world’s most popular fitness videos and makes them interactive. The extensive library of videos from the world’s biggest fitness brands including Beachbody’s P90X® (Tony Horton) and INSANITY® (Shaun T), Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson and others, will be available for free with Xbox Live Gold memberships through December 2014.

Using precision Kinect technology, Xbox Fitness can read your heart rate without a monitor, see which muscles are most engaged by measuring the power, force and transfer of weight in your body, and track the quality of your performance by measuring your balance, tempo and form.

INSANITY’S Shaun T says, “What makes Xbox Fitness so innovative is the feedback it gives you. The Kinect sensor can evaluate your form, tell how high you’re jumping, how hard you’re punching and even read your heart rate. It’s that little missing piece of validation that hasn’t been possible for home fitness products before. Xbox Fitness completes the puzzle.”

Xbox Fitness will deliver personalized program recommendations based on your workout history and past performance, highlight the most popular workouts among Xbox Fitness users, and offer a variety of workouts, from 10 to 60 minutes in length.

Xbox Fitness also helps you push yourself to work harder and stay motivated. Challenges are integrated into your workouts through Xbox Live, tracking your performance history and awards and delivering competitive social challenges. Take on your previous scores, challenge your friends to beat your performance and compare with the Xbox Fitness community.

Xbox Fitness will launch this holiday, just in time to get a jump-start on your New Year’s fitness resolution. With an Xbox Fitness Pass, included free with your Xbox Live Gold membership through December 2014, you’ll have unlimited access to the world’s best workouts, only on Xbox One.

Yep, that's what it all goes back to when talking about the specs of each console. Xbox's guys always reference the past.
Listen to the Devs and what they say the differences are between the 2 platforms and it's a lot bigger than the 360/PS3 differences.

Yes the Devs working on the actual games. Of course you'll hear the unnamed sources thing time and again in an attempt to discredit said sources but come on if you did work with both companies you wouldn't want your name associated with the comments for obvious reasons (retribution, Firing, lawsuits etc....) just like any news journalist gets inside scoops from anonymous sources.

Read up on the differences on the games now and this is just launch games imagine what the gap will be like in 1 or 2 years. Maybe some of the initial multiplats will be close but it won't be because of hardware similarities but because Devs wish to Castrate the PS4 version in order "To not ruffle any feathers."

I don't understand why someone would spend $100 bucks more for inferior hardware and to watch TV But to each his own I guess. Most X1 users in a few years will be on the PS4 bandwagon once they realize the truth.

This is actually pretty cool. I just wish the price was known after the free year for the fitness service.
