They havent shown much imo. Putting aside the messaging cluster**** of E3 when it came to used games/always online/kinect always connected, there isnt a single first party game that is releasing at launch for the 1 that I've seen that I have to have. Same with the PS4. At launch, I'm buying NBA2k, Fifa and Watch Dogs.

So why am I buying a PS4 first:

1) Its $100 cheaper: I can buy a game and a extra controller with the extra money I would spend on getting the one.

2) The Show: The only first party game that I;m dying to get during the first 6 most of the console.

3)Xbox hasnt done enough to sell me on its other features: I havent seen enough about how the TV stuff works to make me want it at this point. After buying a Kinect and barely using it for the last few years, the Kinect related stuff doesnt excite me. There is nothing theyve shown that makes me wont to spend $100 more bucks.

4) The install base appears to be higher for the ps4: Based on the preorder stats, it looks like the Ps4 will sell more than the 1 this fall. That matters because a bigger install base equals more people potentially online. It also matters for sports game fans because roster makers at OS tend to make them for the most popular console first. I remember last launch, PS3 owners had to wait months for people to make rosters for games like NCAA because fewer people owned the console and the roster makers at that point had the more popular console (360).

5)From statements from people I trust, the PS4 is likely to be more powerful and easier to program. Since there are no 1st party games I care about, its likely that the 3rd party games will look better on the more powerful machine

I dont knock anyone who decides to go with the 1. Some people love the TV functions and Kinect. Others are used to the Xbox and dont want to switch/. I get all of that. I plan to buy a 1 around next fall or the first price drop or if they release a 1 party game I must have.

I hear ya and I won’t argue you at all. For me, I'm sure online for PS4 will be better this go around, but IMO it still won’t be better than MS online service. I just find it a little ironic that PS owners complained about how gamers paid $60 for Xbox live when Sony was free, and we all knew that Sony online line service didn’t compare to MS as a whole.

Now that you do have to Pay for online service for the PS now. I would rather go with the system this time that does have the better online service, that's just me. Epically since MS will have their own dedicated servers for games like BF4. This is all IMO. Also I don’t really want to hear the specs compared, I work in the Tech field and both systems are basically running the same HDD if anyone really knows there stuff. And the DD5 memory in the PS4 compared to the DD3 memory on the One is not making the graphic’s better people should know there tech.

I do enjoy the SHOW, but these are my reasons why I chose to swicth to the one at launch.

I haven't heard anymore about XBL's free game program other than the oldies they've put up to download for the 360 as far as the 1 goes. PS+ should pay for itself with the free games.

Don't forget, those apps are still free and you don't need PS+ for them, unlike where you need Live to watch Netflix.

Hmm.

It has nothing to do with ****ty PR on Microsofts part, or the fact that most of the stuff the One announced doesn't interest them, or the fact that it's $100 cheaper.

If you're going to throw around fake numbers, at least clear up loose ends.

I can understand your point...but 100 cheaper on a console you will spend 1000,s on is not a big deal to me...

You won't spend 1000's on a console. On games, perhaps, but not on a console. Like it or not, that $100 is a big deal to some people.

That, combined with some non-interesting launch titles (for both systems) makes the cheaper one easier to get for some.

its all the same c,mon man!!:-) but for real 400 or 500 i really dont care as long as i get the games i want ..i made a choice one now one next summer..so i picked the xbox now and when the summer come ill pick up a ps4 with 2nd son...and titenfall on pc or xbone....im good

It is what it is Mike. I will say this, it hasn't been as bad as when the 360/PS3 where ready to launch.

The debates back then we're crazy, compared to this launch.

PS4 will play games and be good.

Xbox Live is still good.

PSN+ will hopefully be improved as far as download speeds.

Both will do what we want.

I think it will be back, but it probably won't be till a later time. Hell, they still have to get the indies that got into the first round of their program settled. At this point, they don't have much that they could offer there at the beginning of the system.
