Re: Xbox One
Maybe not at launch but within 3 mos? Probably. Lets say a game like Ryse or Knack is a low seller at launch, I could see MS or Sony putting those up as a free download.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Curious to see if anyone has been to one of the xbox one tour events. If you have or plan on going, would be awesome if you can post some pics or videos and give your honest impression.

From what I can tell:
Xbox Area One events have every first party launch game playable
The Xbox One trucks only have Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5
EDIT:
Two videos that support the observations from above. First video is at an Xbox Area One event and the second one is an Xbox One truck in a mall:

Re: Xbox One
As a non gamer or former gamer I am looking get back into gaming. I think I will pick up an xbox one. Do not see what all the hoopla is about the PS4 overall. Both system's will ultimately have majority of the same games. Xbox one has the better controller (supposedly), dashboard, and online.
As for the games neither system really does it for me right now.Comment

I will say I do think the XBone's controller is better, but that's mainly due to me knowing they just refined the X360 controller. I am curious to see how they bulked up the PS4 controller and how it will feel in my hand. Western hands were just too large for the PS3 controller and mine always cramped up after a few hours of playtime.
The dash is subjective. If you think the XBone's dash is better, that's cool. I personally hate it and greatly prefer the PS4. Again, this shouldn't really factor too much into buying a system - but it's purely subjective. I don't think there's a way to debate if one is "Better than the other."
Online... again we'll have to wait and see. If the PS4 can catch up (in terms of download speed issues that I've seen people complaining about) we're already pretty much at the point of diminishing returns in terms of game-performance. The way console games are developed and coded, a ping of 30 is the same as a ping of 150.
I may be way off base here, but I see nothing (on either system, save for potentially the PS4 games offered down the line with PSN+. I assume we won't see anything real nice there for a year or more, just being with how new the console is) on either system from those 3 that would sell me on a system.
Those without "brand loyalty" (or fanboy-ism, whatever people are calling it) that have no pressing need/urge to pick up a console on release days are in the best spot possible for this gaming generation. Sit back for 3-6 months, relax and let some good games come out/get announced. Read up on some reviews, see if either piece of hardware has any major issues and once you feel like there's a system you really really want snatch that one up.badComment

Last, gaming sites like Ign and Gamespot are not helping the next gen transition. I do not know which game is a for what system without having to do some serious detective work. Heck, I'm not sure if I have seen a preview for a PS4 game yet.Comment

Re: Xbox One
My only problem with PS4 dash is Sony leaves quite a bit of open space (too much blue lol) around the app tiles.

In terms of coverage... I can't say too much. I haven't been keeping up with the sites in terms of games or anything. I'm gonna get both eventually, even if it's just as a collector. PS4 is what I'm gonna get (eventually, lord knows it'll be a year or two unless my fiancee comes home with one) just because I like their track record and what I've seen from the system. XBone will come down the road after that, unless a "must-have" game comes out for it. I doubt there will ever be a "must-have" XBone game for me though. FPS games just don't really do it for me anymore, and that's where MS crushes Sony. Halo (as a series) will never be touched by Killzone. Gears is passable. Most of the games I play are JRPGs or some type of story-based game- if they aren't multiplatform, they are normally PSX/2/3/4 exclusive.
I'd say try to stick to these threads (this and the PS4 thread.) PS4 has a bunch of info, and joe does a fantastic job in here posting what he finds. There are also a few other threads for the specific games (I know Ryse [XBone] has one for sure.) Normally anything worth reading gets posted around here.badComment

Re: Xbox One
I like the PS3 dash over the Xbox360, the PS3's is simple and nice. Xbox360 dashboard is more confusing and just too much going on, you can't even see your wall paper, and the green tiles are an eye sore. Looks like next gen both dashboards will be similar to the current gen ones, so I will probably like the PS4's better.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Does anyone have any knowledge what we will see when we fire up the Xbox One the first time in terms of demos? Can we expect a demo of each launch title or just first party titles?Comment
