For anyone that pre ordered through Bestbuy I sent a email to the district manager and received a response. It wasnt from him though guess it was someone on his team. I asked what the process for midnight launch would be and how would they ensure pre order customers are taken care of and not having their consoles taken by walk in customers. I feel more confident after the response.



"We will have a process setup on launch day and will guarantee that all pre order customers are priority. Walk in customers will only have access to available units that are not reserved for pre orders.

Good to hear as I've been wondering how they would handle preorders. I'm guessing this includes online preorders as well?

I believe their point is that Xbox Live has been better than PSN on PS3 for a while. PSN made strides near the end, but even diehard PS3 people usually agree that Xbox Live provided a better service (because you paid for it). I don't think this is a "fanboy" based opinion.

Not many people here have played either yet, yet they've made decisions...I think you need to chill a bit. Nearly all feelings on this are based on impressions and info people read....

I'm not saying either's right, and PSN on PS4 could end up being way way better...Just based on current gen I'd side with Live over PSN personally.

Xbox Live was a better experience yes, but the point was he said it as Xbox One will have the better online experience over PS4. Nobody has played either system so we don't know what's true. I am chill... Nothing to do with needing to chill. But don't say something is better than the other when we have never even played the systems yet....

If there is one game that could make me pick up my Target preorder it's Ruse I want toexperience this game so bad.

I've decided on PS4 but something in the back of my mind is telling me don't do it. I just don't have time for both, I'm so torn right now. I could take my $400 on my amazon preorder for the PS4 and just buy all games/accessories and pick up my Target Xbone preorder. All F'd up right now.

I'm so torn I had Bluengold give me a call and get his thoughts. Someone help me. I need a hug right now

Also I just know the Xbox online is gonna be straight. PS4 could as well but Microsoft has been a sure thing for years now

If you can afford to buy both I would say buy both. You will eventually have them both anyways right? Why wait? Unless right now you can't afford it. But if you are planning on getting both one now and one later then it doesn't really matter which one you get first. What has better launch titles should weigh your initial choice if you plan for getting both.

Then you'll have to delete nearly every post in these threads talking about differences between PS4 and Xbox One....99% of the people here haven't played themselves....

Everyone in PS4-land is touting hardware supremacy when they haven't played a game on both systems....

We won't know until we play both, which is why I'm not getting one at release, BTW. So I don't have a dog in this hunt.

This gen XBL simply destroys PSN as far as the online experience goes. A great example is in a game like GTA V. We get in an XBL party chat and when we finish a mission and one or two of our 6 or so guys end up in a random world instead of our private one we are all still in party chat and can easily communicate with one another to get whoever invited back.

I've used the in game GTA V chat system and it's lame compared to XBL's party chat.

Wouldn't even want to deal with PSN playing this type of game. To top it off they are having way more problems online than any of us (Old school OS crew).

Just the other day, post update patch a lot of them were not able to log on etc etc while on 360 we were just cruising along w/ no problems.

All that being said, next gen isn't this gen and things may be different this go round. But if current gen is any indication at all as to what to expect then XBL will probably have the better experience once again.

I do hope that PSN on the PS4 is much better than on PS3 and I hope the party chat works as well as it currently does on 360. I have a vested interest this time because although I'm getting both next gen consoles, I think I'm going to do the majority of my gaming on the PS4. But maybe even that remains to be seen.

That is completely different from saying the online experience will be better. PS4 has the better hardware that is something that is a fact. As far as the online goes we don't know the facts of which one will be better. They both will have the cloud and dedicated servers. However, we don't know the extent of dedicated servers on PS4. These are the facts.

I wish I could afford both. So I decided, I love Killer Instinct. Is it worth the extra $100? Maybe maybe not. I'll get a PS4 later anyway. I did the same thing with PS2 and Xbox, PS3 and XBox 360, and Now PS4 and XBox One.

Get both leave the PS4 in the box. get your Xbox on and wait til Christmas and crack open the PS4.

The PS4 having "better" hardware is subjective. Yes the PS4 is more powerful, but again that doesn't make it "better" hardware. The XB-1 had a faster CPU and offers HDMI In, 2 things the PS4 doesn't offer. Doesn't mean the XB-1 has the better hardware.

The only facts about both pieces of hardware is they are running x86 architecture

That's it James - just go with both as I have finally settled on. I understand the hesitancy to do so, but my Wife said just grab both because you're going to want the other one eventually. Do I need both? - no, do I want both? - maybe, and that's why I am just grabbing both.

They are both going to be great systems, and this bickering from both sides, and trying to make the other side feel stupid for buying their console of choice has got to stop.
