I find it funny that the console with the less specs says that shouldn't be the justification of getting one or the other. Xbox has fans and sony has fans and people will buy because of that reason. More then anything the price and better specs is everything you need to know, why would I pay more for the Xbox?

I'm getting a PS4 first so obviously I agree with you here...but I do plan to get both and I can answer your question: you'd want to pay more for an Xbox because of the multimedia-tv aspects that it has that the PS4 does not.

I'm really excited for both consoles this gen but for different reasons, I am all for gaming on the PS4 and the solo titles there...then later the Xbone's TV features and online gaming.

Both have their pros and cons and although, as I said, I don't understand why, if you're a hardcore gamer, you'd want to get Xbone first but I know why some probably will..

P.S. One other big reason I've heard people getting Xbox One over PS4 has nothing to do really with anything that Sony could do to overcome it. They are buying it simply because all of their friends are on Xbox Live and they want to stay on the system that allows them to game with their friends.

Because you enjoy First Person Shooters and Sports games, which MS pushes way harder than Sony.

That's why Sony has The Show and Microsoft doesn't right?

Because an excellent game that sells under well under a million copies is worth the capital and associated costs of developing a brand new engine/game including licensing rights/advertising/etc., correct?

If I asked the public, "What game genres come to mind when you hear the Xbox brand?" I can guarantee the answer would be 1) FPS 2) Sports, in that order. It's their core gaming base.

All in PS4 will end up costing more money, if you by the eye. 300,000 Azure servers are going to make the difference in this generation. Xbox's multiplayer experience is going to benefit from the capital MS invested in the servers.

Sports rank 3rd. I think that would be almost the same for both Microsoft and Sony. Difference is people have bought the PS3 solely to play The Show. There's no sports title that Microsoft has exclusively that would entice someone to do that. I get what you are saying how they do push sports harder than Sony. But if you are a sports gamer you lean toward Sony because of The Show. Which of course is a sports game. However, obviously when it comes to multiplatform sports games 360 versions were better. This generation it looks to be different.

Um... The Playstation Camera is $60. I don't know what world 400+60 > 500, but I'd like to live there I think.

This "Power of the cloud" thing is just as silly as the PS3s "Power of the cell" marketing campaign.

I didn't say what genres sold the best... I said which genres get equated with which systems. XBox brand is seen (fairly or unfairly) as the "bro" brand (FPS/Sports). They're pushing this even harder with the NFL "integration" and marketing. I have no doubts that The Show moved a few systems. I waited for The Show to buy my PS3... but the baseball market is pretty much tapped out - the game doesn't move units compared to the other sports offerings out there. Baseball is a tiny niche.

Personally I think this game is flying (no pun intended) under the Launch Radar. The gameplay looks great & these screens are simply beautiful... All for $20.00

Also here's an hour of gameplay via Twitch TV if anyone is interested

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Panzer Dragoon (of which this is sort-of a spiritual successor.)

I don't think a Shooter on Rails has a very large market, but I'm sure I'll be playing the game at some point.

I'm not a fanboy. I own a 360 right now, play PC, and will buy whatever system rings better to me, which at this point is the PS4. With that said, the Xbox is more expensive because it comes with Kinect and PS4 base model does not come with the eye. But as I said, I'll probably be buying a PS4, but I understand the pricing difference.
