If Kinect is incorporated into the game (integral or just an added bonus) than it most certainly should be included or mentioned in the review.

Mentioned, yes. Reviewed? Nah. Kinect/PSEye/Camera (whatever the hell Sony is deciding to call that silly thing these days) is just a fluff gimmick.

That's silly. While we're at it let's skip and not factor in cinemas, QTEs, the story and anything else the reviewer personally doesn't like.

Sony Hype machine. Ish has been on turbo since E3. I think someone pointed this out in this thread, Xbox1 is definitely for adults, it's being marketed to adults, so maybe it's not hip or something. Idk.

Disagree with this to the fullest. Lol. I haven't seen the PS4 being marketed to kids in any ad that I've seen pertaining to it, likewise with the XBOX One. So for you to blame it on that is a little ridiculous. I have both systems and prefer to play the PS4 more than I do my Xbox One. The only thing that would make someone say that the Xbox One is for adults over the PS4 would be the television integration. I don't even use that because of my wife and daughters being scared of new technology, and not wanting to keep my Xbox One on too long.

The TV integration is exactly my point! If you see the commercial MS has for it, snapping, Brian Urlacher is the guy in the commercial. pS4 may not be marketing to kids, but MS is definitely marketing to adults. Im not blaming anyone or thing, as someone mentioned earlier, part of Microsofts issues became their lack of communicating a clear vision for their product. It was basically blood in the water after E3.

So I get my new Xbox in the mail today, reinstall everything, play BF4 for about a hour and bam, same F'ing Problem. Im seriously about to lose it. Microsoft says its a bad console but there is simply no way that I end up with 2 consoles that are broke.

My patience is lost, when I get ahold of customer support I give you permission for feel bad for the innocent person I'm going to swear at.

Oh how is battery life using AA batteries? May consider a charge base like Energizer. Keep reading nasty PS4 battery life experiences and hope One is better when Christmas comes

Don't use the controller enough to go through the included batteries. Not bothering with a dock personally like my DS4s until I get a second though for OCD-like organizational reasons.

I'd have to say video game reviews and everything shouldn't have to hook up the Kinect, unless it's a Kinect game. There's no need to.

If I were to buy an XBone, I'd be playing it without the Kinect so those would be the reviews I am interested in - though every review I've posted in here (and read) all had the Kinect hooked up and went through the motions with everything which is the proper way of doing an actual system review.

Now if they reviewed the system itself without hooking the Kinect up... well that should be a separate review.

Not connecting it would be highly ignorant on any reviews part. Especially when the complete basis around the system is the interaction with the Kinect 2.0, even when the game isn't in the system.

The complete interface of the system is designed to use the Kinect for pretty much everything.

So to not use it nor mention it in a review, isn't really a review. It's a sneak peek at games. And not using it with games would make those reviews invalid or incomplete.

Got my day one edition since Launch and no issues what so ever. System is quiet and every game has worked fine.

Only issues I've experience was party chat with Killer Instinct....I got to play with my friends on all other games with game invites.

Last thanksgiving my xbox turned off unexpectedly, it would not turn back on after about a hour. Then it would not turn back on at all after a few times of turning it back on. So I call CS and they send me out a new xbox even though I said it was clearly a power supply issue. Fast forward a week and I get my new Xbox, I plug everything back in and about a hour of playing battlefield later, it turns off and wont restart.

I just got off the phone with Customer Service and the lady said the only way they can fix this is if I mail my power supply to them and they will mail one to me. I am so mad right now im shaking. I cannot believe how bad their Customer Service is, I want to punch something right now.

Wow. That sucks. Did you try speaking to a manager or someone over her?? I'm sure that they could overnight you a new power supply, it would be ridiculous if they didn't.

I tried and they won't. Ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe it. I wish I could talk to someone who could actually offer me a solution that worked, he'll just give me something free. I also love how I have to pay to get it shipped.

I found these things that you could possibly try. You probably already did though.

Check the ventilation on the system. If it is overheating, you should get a warning message before the system shuts down. If you so, turn off the console and wait at least an hour. Make sure the Xbox One has enough ventilation and try again. If this persists, contact Microsoft.
Check the light on the power supply. If it is flickering or there is no light, it is a power issue (see above for info on that).
Check to see if your Xbox One is set to turn off automatically. Head to “Settings,” then select “Power & Supply,” then choose “Turn off after.” Choose the “Don’t Turn off Automatically” option and you are set.
Make sure the AC outlet your Xbox One is plugged into is functioning properly.
