Re: Xbox One
You can plug it into the Xbox and itll emit the same IR signals that the Kinect does.
If you have a media closet with all your cable boxes and stuff in there, the IR Blaster lets you use Kinect/Xbox to still change channels. The Xbox will also send out the signals via IR Blaster along with Kinect.
Or if you don't own Kinect it'll let you control TV via the controller still.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
My router is upstairs at the far end of the house, my console is in the basement. no issues. I don't have a full signal, I'm down a bar or two sometimes, but no issues. If there is, you can always just get a wifi extender too. I have one of those I use in the summer months that I plug in near the garage, or patio so I can blast my wifi outside to stream tunes and such.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: Xbox One
Like mgoblue said your console and the Kinect need to both be in open areas in order for the tv channels to change by voice commands. If your console is in a closed cabinet, then it's like the Kinect can "hear" what you're saying and the pop-up shows up like it's trying to change the channel, but it doesn't change. If you're just playing video games, then you can keep your cabinet closed and play just fine.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Sony needs to give us this option for the PS4. The only reason I haven't upgraded my internal is because I don't want to re-download every single game.XBL: DTX3

Re: Xbox One
I've done it with Forza to try it out. Other than the slight input lag (which will always happen) it was great. Obviously doesn't look as good as it does straight from the XBOne to the TV, but I can see it being useful on travel if you bring a laptop or something - though I haven't tried it cross-network at all (with me being on the PC on one network, and the XBOne home on another.)
I am using a Xbox One controller on my PC in USB 3.0...I have zero input lag...Comment

Re: Xbox One
There really should be a little, due to the nature of broadcasting video over your network, just a matter of how perceptible and if the type of game helps mitigate that. I'd expect it to be pretty apparent with a game like Forza though.Comment
