One thing that I personally take for granted is that the PS4 version will probably be slightly better than Xbox One. Also a given that a solid PC is better than consoles. I'm ok with that.

Digital Foundry stuff is interesting to read, but doesn't really impact me much because I play a game if it's fun or not overall, not just a graphics decision.

They kinda spout the same stuff each review cause it's all pretty similar.

The PS4 version should obviously be better considering that they have an "extra" year to work on the game. LOL.

DF stuff doesn't matter to me except for one thing - if certain things like going with a lower resolution and adding other elements make the game look better overall, why don't developers do that? That's the only thing that bugs me because you would think that developers would do what makes the game look and run better overall.

A friend and co-worker texted me saying that the game is amazing, beautiful, better than the first one and he's enjoying it a lot. Point being regardless of visual graphical tech stuff, the game seems to be damn good and that's all I care about. I want a good game that's also fun and im good.

Question -

Since I haven't connected my Xbox One yet but was going to do it later tonight to have it all setup and ready for ROTTR tomorrow, would it be better of just waiting until tomorrow to set it up and go online and whatnot?

I'd connect it tonight. Id expect the current version of the OS is the most tested against, or you might also end up having to update multiple times either way.

Whatever you do, I'd leave it in instant on mode so it's updated by the time you're home in theory tomorrow.

It sure is (PS4) having a bit more raw power and some games look better to the naked eye in terms of clarity not textures.

But there is zero substitute for a controller. The regular new model xbox one controller is just superior to me for any type of game. The Elite just makes it no contest where I butter my roll

Okay, cool. Thanks guys. Wanted to set it up already but Syndicate is taking me longer to finish than expected. Either way, it will all be done tonight because im anxious to play ROTTR tomorrow after work. Thanks guys.

In general, I like both controllers. They're both good. I have never had a problem with either console's controllers. The original Xbox is a different story as that was just too damn big. Luckily, that smaller one came out.

Considering that you own both consoles, that Elite controller just got better for you as you can use it on PS4 as well. Just need to purchase the adapter so it's compatible but I have no idea how much money the adapter costs -
