I think its about time to finally send my Xbox One off for repair. Every since ai got it I have had problems with the HDMI socket on the back of the console. Its essentially loose and I have to have my HDMI a certain way to get tv signal. Before it was a minor occurrence and I could fix it in a matter of minutes. Now its to the point where I cant get the screen to show unless i angle the hdmi at the port a certain way by holding it with my hand.

Anyone had issues like this? Btw yes I have tried multiple HDMI cords and get the same problem.

I finally took my Xbox in for repair at a local place called Gaget Grave. They have a really nice setup and have got very good reviews online

I wasn't about to give MS a 3rd shot at fixing the damn thing and having to wait a month to get it back and pray it works. Least with the store I took it to is if they can't fix it they charge you a small fee for looking at it and trying to fix it and it will only take around 2-5 days

Gotcha. Yeah, not sure what to say. Does it just seem like the port is really loose and the cable comes out easy? Do you have an early console, like a day 1 console?

Again, you're completely missing the point of consoles in Japan.

There is zero reason for anyone to upgrade to any of the new consoles right now, outside of want. The libraries aren't there to warrant an upgrade.

You also fail to factor in a struggling Japanese economy, and a shrinking population. But, of course, that doesn't fit your narrative.

Even if the PS4 tripled the US sales in Japan, the XBox isn't made for that country. The original XBox sold under 500,000 units in Japan and the 360 hit around 1.5 million units lifetime.

I'd be glad to explain more why says "Japanese sales of the XBOne suck because Japan hates consoles" is wrong, but knowing your post history just means it would be wasted breath.

99 xb1 is sad but not unexpected as even their own fails to sell as in US or UK

Question about Dying Light Enhanced Edition. So for those who currently own the original game the enhanced edition and The Following is free DLC correct? The reason I ask is because I see the The Following will cost $59.99 but I see that the original Dying Light is $29.99 digital. So I can buy it for $29.99 today and receive the Enhanced Edition and The Following for free when it's release next month?

Going to buy another Xbox One today ..... My other simply won't read disc and Microsoft couldn't fix it right the first two times. Now they want $115 to try again and I'm sure they would fail then ask for another $115

Might as well spend $300 and get a 4 year warranty for $37

Probably gonna get that White one from Walmart for $300 because I don't need the elite one, bigger memory, or games. I already have all those .... I think it looks pretty cool

If you're willing to risk it you can try trading in the broken one with a disc that will work (mine would only read discs that had been installed all ready, not any new discs though). Gamestop would test against that disc then be fine...Or you factory reset it and usually the GS person won't wait for stuff to update to test a disc...haven't tried that though, the other worked twice for me to replace them with working discs.

Then you use that to buy the new one.

It still works fine when it comes to anything else though.... If I could I would get some money for it. But I doubt I can

You can maybe try factory resetting it and trying to trade it in....but not sure if that'll work or not.

Well I finally figured out a way to have music play in the background while I play games on the Xbox One without having a stupid snapped window.

I bought the Astro A50 headset the other day and it has an auxillary line in that I can connect to my iPad to play Spotify!

Now before anyone says anything, I didn't buy the A50's for this feature, heck I didn't even know that such a feature on headsets existed, but I sure am glad I am now able to game with my own music.

I know Microsoft has said they are brining background, unsnapped music sometime this summer but I don't have to wait anymore..
