So I took the jump and bought an Xbox One for the downstairs TV (already have a PS4 on my bedroom TV), it was the Elite edition 1 TB along with forza 6. Forza is awesome, but that Elite controller though...wow. Can't believe I am saying this, but I'm liking the xbox experience more than the ps4 experience, maybe because it's something new? My brother came home with NFS (the newest one), and I dowloaded Fifa 16 last night. Overall really liking everything from the experience to the build quality, and NFS really isn't as bad of a game as many made it out to be. Yes the cut scenes are corny as hell, but the game is fun and beautiful, feel like I'm playing NFS Underground again, and that's a good thing.

Anyway, the thing is damn dangerous, every time I turn it on I end up just playing for 5 or 6 hours straight, that's why I make sure I go to the gym BEFORE the system gets turned on.

I can't believe I'm typing this, but i'm thinking of getting an XB1.
That's not a shot against MS or the XB, it's just that I've owned both consoles since PS1 days and I was determined not to do that this generation.
We have a PS4 and the family's happy with it, but it's mainly being used by my sons in the basement.
(I was also a big XB and 360 guy).

With the deals going on right now, it's hard to turn down a chance to get the Holiday bundle of a 1TB console, GoW, both Tomb Raider games, Replay and One(?).

I love the GoW series and I'd love to have State of Decay as well as EA Access.
It would go upstairs where I'd have sole possession of it.
I'm sure my wife would hate me for buying it though, haha.

If I were to get one, is the Kinect needed?
Currently I have a nearly 10YO Samsung Plasma, sound bar and Bell HD receiver for TV.
Can the Kinect run all those things?
Or should I just skip that for now?

I enjoyed the Kinect at the beginning but I would not recommend it. It is obvious that MS is going away from it.

Kinect should be just a high quality mic. Don't need Camera mines stay covered

Nah, we use the camera for sign-ins and stuff, and Fantasia rivals RB and GH for best music games this gen and is a motion title.

Kinect still super useful, even if not for gaming. It should be able to control your listed devices Money99 if they're in the same room, exceptions are relatively rare.

Wow. Sounds like a good way to blow up a battery. If it lives up to the billing and isn't more than $30-40/per controller I'm sold.

Traded my ps4 2k16 in for 2k16 xb1, plus snagged BF Hardline and tomb raider. Ended up paying about 70 bucks.

Sincenot many games coming out that i want in the next couple months ill finish these off. Trade the two non sports games in for the division in march.

Snagging just cause on pc for 25 bucks too

I 'literally' just got back from the store & did this - LOVE this game but wanted all of the replays/etc to work (as it currently doesn't on the PS4) - a little thing to some, but for me, I like that immersion and it was worth the $15.00.

Will be picking up Tomb Raider (later on) but I have way too many to play right now so I can wait.

TR is a fantastic game and if not for these reasons below it would be game of the year

1. Being only on xb1 at the moment
2. Coming out on F4 day
3. media bias against the XB1
4. Witcher 3 and BloodBorne

If those things did not exist this game would be hands down game of the year

1. While that sucks, it was more on Square Enix and Microsoft as opposed to Crystal Dynamics or the game itself. I consider it what it is - a timed exclusive. Despite all the bullcrap surrounding it, I purchased an Xbox One (which honestly, has been a gift that keeps on giving) just so I could play ROTTR instead of waiting a year. With that said, I will most likely play it again on PS4 when the time comes because it's actually worth playing twice plus it should include all the DLC.

2. Agree 100%. If possible, the game should have been moved up to October 6th as it would have done a lot better sales wise.

3. Actually, a lot of sites have picked Xbox One over PS4 for 2015 and to be perfectly honest, I agree. If anything, it was more about gamers being pissed off at Square Enix accepting Microsoft's offer as opposed to the game itself. Game itself is excellent.

4. Haven't actually started Bloodborne but The Witcher 3 is my game of the year. ROTTR would have done better if it was just a multi-platform release. Being a timed exclusive hurt the game especially since it's seen as a "PlayStation brand" more than The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne being released in the same year.

Can't say if it would have beaten out Bloodborne since I haven't played it yet but if not for that game and The Witcher 3, this year wouldn't have been much better than 2014. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. For me, ROTTR is second for 2015 at 9.2/10 with Mad Max being third. 2015 was an excellent year and 2016 looks to be even better on paper.

Either way, ROTTR should be purchased and played by every Xbox One owner in my opinion.
