    Re: Xbox One

For Xbox One, when you say "record that" it only records the last 27-30 seconds of whatever you just did. Is there a way to pull up what happened before that?

I know you can say start recording or whatever but I mean if you're just playing and some crazy stuff happens and you want to record and upload like the last two minutes or so, instead of the last 30 seconds only.

    Any way to do that?

On PS4 it records all the time, does the Xbox One not do that as well?

You have to snap the DVR, end recording, it gives you the option of recording the last 5 minutes.

Yeah I was pretty shocked to see how recording works on the Xbox one coming from PS4.... I love the console but that was a real bummer.

In the next update you'll be able to adjust recording length to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes.

Yeah just change the option for how long you want your clips to be and the normal double tap the home button and press X to record the clip.

They really need to improve that for non-Kinect users. Something like using start as a toggle, start + LT to start recording, start + LT to stop. Start + RT for screenshots, etc.

I like that you can assign the screenshot and record clip to certain buttons with the chat pad. I don't have the chat pad but the way it's handled now is fine with me.

Yeah last night I went into preferences and edited it to 3 minutes.

Now my only complaint is we should be able to upload to youtube or facebook directly!

I'm with you on that. I would prefer an easier way to upload to YouTube instead of through the app.

Cross network play coming to Xbox. Rocket League first to take advantage.
This will be ID@Xbox’s third Game Developers Conference showing off amazing new games from independent developers in the ID@Xbox program. For us, it’s a great time to highlight new games, but also a place to connect with new developers and old friends and listen to their feedback about our program – what people are liking, and where we can do better. We actually started ID@Xbox by going out on a listening tour that seemed huge at the time (more than 50 developers!), but today, with more than 1,400 studios creating games for Xbox One and Windows 10 via ID@Xbox, 50 seems like a pretty small number!

So is Rocket League cross network with PS4?

So would that mean you could play Rocket League with PS4 people too? How do they keep them separate otherwise?

Interesting though! I bet a lot of companies will want to do this to help get more players online together, keeps games alive longer online and could lead to more sales.

                                Re: Xbox One

Probably takes work to intermingle them, rather than keep apart.

The insinuation is certainly there and in the Psyonix release too:

Expect to see Rocket League cross-network play working on Xbox One and PC later this spring, with information regarding other platforms coming soon.

We'll see how long it takes to confirm/shoot down any smoldering suggestions that Xbox One and PS4 cross-play is possible.

I expect MS has probably set up their own playground and will require others to come to it.
