Actually yes, I did receive that last Thursday and it has sat in my front room because I thought it was batteries which I had ordered for my dogs bark collar. Finally opened it up last night and was like "oh hey, this is not dog bark collar batteries!"

Anyways, yes, I did get it and it really didn't take too long either and now everything is working normal again.

P.S. One thing of note, the Xbox status site isn't updated on the true status of your adapter...I just checked my trouble ticket the other day (Friday i believe) and it said it was still pending approval to ship and it was already waiting in my front room by that time.

That new dash looks so busy. Still ads too? I don't get why MS always tinkers with their dashboard. My favorite was still the blades back in 360 era.

I think this is the main reason I don't like the X1 as much as the PS4, the busy interface gives me a headache. Way too much going on. Sonys is much less busy. Although of course I'm sure some would say it's too spartan and/or boring so I realize it's just an opinion.

              Re: Xbox One

I've liked the XB1 interfaces. The busyness of them never really bothered me. No ads is better than having ads, but seriously, I couldn't care less about ads. They all tend to be centered around Xbox gaming and entertainment.

The biggest mistake was ever trying to tie the UI to the Kinect. Despite that, it has always been easier to get to what I want to do that people ever give it credit for. It just takes some time to get a feel for the UI and how it is organized.

I thin the elimination of the double tap was a long time coming. A simple press really does bring us closer to the same functionality that we had during the Blades Age. We have from pages instead d of blades. The Xbox button brings us our friends list and access to messaging and settings.

I hope Scorpio brings us a new controller, one that will be XB1 compatible, that has share buttons like the PS4 and Switch. But the new addition that allows us to much more easily share different lengths of the video we have buffered is really, really welcome.

Personally I love how games are organized on the XB1. I was just going through my 90 some odd games I had on my hard drives with my wife, and decided to cut out a uninstall a bunch. I usually keep the list as most recently played, but switchman the grouping them by size was a nice way to look for bigger bangs for out deleting bucks. Swapping to letters makes it easier to can for a particular game.

In general, Microsoft has felt like Apple in its ability to make changes for the better in how their hardware works by making UI changes and such. It's a fantastic part of the Xbox experience. They listen to their users and make good changes. No one is going to like everything, but I think they do a darn good job of improving their dash substantially.

Updated the Xbox One Slim console and two new additions that either weren't available on the console yet or I simply missed them back in October. The two new additions are button mapping for the controller and finally, an on/off option for the controller vibration!!! Very happy.

Yeah I agree they took away Snap TV without reconfiguring the Home tab to make up for the extra space. the entire home tab needs to be redone.

                      Re: Xbox One

Microsoft will use Forza 7, Battlefront 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to showcase 4K on 'Project Scorpio' Xbox (exclusive)

We recently received a partial list of planned 4K titles for the next Xbox, dubbed "Project Scorpio," and we're now able to fully confirm its authenticity.

Microsoft will unveil Forza Motorsport 7 as the headline title for Project Scorpio in the next few weeks, and it will run at a blistering True 4K resolution. We've heard reports from reliable sources that the game, in true Forza fashion, already looks utterly stunning, and will showcase just what the console is capable of.

Our list comes from marketing materials that include titles Microsoft wants to use to exemplify Project Scorpio's six-teraflops (TF), True-4K capabilities. And it naturally includes several first-party titles, such as the aforementioned Forza 7, Crackdown 3, and State of Decay 2. But it also contains a few heavy-hitting, third-party titles.

The list includes some fairly obvious games, such as "Call of Duty", FIFA, and Madden, but also Battlefront 2, and Red Dead Redemption 2. It seems that each of these games will appear on Project Scorpio with a 4K resolution.

Battlefront 2 is effectively a no-brainer, considering the representatives of the game's developer, DICE, appeared in the trailer for Project Scorpio at E3 2016. But Red Dead Redemption 2 is a little less expected, and should prove a huge boost to the console's third-party credibility.

Scorpio is going to bring a very broad array of benefits to gamers of all types.
Additionally, it appears that Scorpio will have a sizeable library of 4K games out of the box, due to the "change resilience" features we outlined recently. Games that use dynamic 900p to 1080p resolution scaling on Xbox One (reducing visual quality to remain stable during intensive scenes) will be able to scale all the way up to 4K on Project Scorpio. This should give Project Scorpio the content it needs to be a worthy purchase proposition as soon as it goes on sale in the during the holiday season of 2017.

When you combine this with the 4K supersampling for 1080p TVs we discussed in a previous article, 4K Game DVR and streaming, it seems like Scorpio is going to bring a very broad array of benefits to gamers of all types. Microsoft is clearly keen on driving home Project Scorpio as a high-value proposition, with a feature set that will help it shrug off accusations of being a mere "Xbox One.5."

We recently received a partial list of planned 4K titles for the next Xbox, dubbed "Project Scorpio," and we're now able to fully confirm its authenticity.

                        Re: Xbox One

I'm expecting Microsoft to hold an event in late May to officially reveal, date and price Scorpio with them using their E3 press conference to showcase their lineup for the rest of 2017. My guesses are Sea of Thieves (July), Crackdown 3 (Scorpio launch), State of Decay 2 (Scorpio launch) and Forza Motorsport 7 (Scorpio launch).

If I was a betting man, I would bet that RDR 2, SWBF2 and COD won't be showcased whatsoever for one simple reason - it's been reported that Sony has the marketing rights to all three games as well as exclusive content OR timed exclusive content.

Sony and Activision are extremely close and have been since 2014. Truly don't see COD being on a Microsoft conference until their current deal expires with Sony which is said to be through 2018.

Would definitely be funny to see RDR 2, SWBF 2 and especially COD at Microsoft's E3 press conference. As long as I get State of Decay 2 this year out of their 2017 exclusives, I'll be a happy camper.

What are your thought on the upscaling capabilities of the XBone S for 1080p blurays?

I'm quite impressed thus far...Having demo'ed Avatar, Pacific Rim, Avengers (all IMAX presentations), I'm pretty amazed how the PQ almost seems '4k-esque'....I didn't expect that much of a leap in detail....FYI....my tv is the Vizio 65in P-Series for reference....

Makes me wonder since alot of reviewers say that stand alone options will upscale better, how much better they do over the XBone S....

I think the picture quality is outstanding. From what I remember a lot of the negative compared to a stand alone player had more to do with the audio then the video. But if you arent rolling with a crazy surround system then it really doesn't matter. Also after the latest update you can pass through Dolby Atoms through HDMI to a receiver capable of handling it so it seems like it can pretty much do it all now. I'm very happy with it.
