Didn't have any plans on purchasing a One X but, starting on August 31st until October 4th, I'm planning to stop at a Taco Bell for a $5 box. This deal is too insane not to try it.

I just wish they would go ahead and let folks pre-order the thing. This waiting is for the birds.

Xbox One

I got the new dashboard. First reaction is "yikes". This is awful. I hope it gets a lot better.

Community tab is a huge mess. How could someone approve this?

Yeah, I'm okay with most of it, but man, community tab needs work. I like how you can filter things out, but the organization isn't great. Way too much going on and it's hard to easily read who the post is from without looking at it for a while. By that, I mean blocks that start "unlocked achievement _____________" with the GT below that in a completely different font that makes it hard to even stand out.

Also, when playing a clip, is there a way to make the controls disappear quicker? These clips are like 30 seconds long and it feels like the play button overlay hangs over top of the clip for a good 30-40% of the time.

So most of the Insider rings are now selectable by participants, with the alpha ring consuming as much as 80gb of bandwidth a month in updates.

I just finished building my new PC and downloaded Forza Horizon 3 and Halo Wars 2 Ultimate (since I had them on Xbox One they were free) and was amazed to see all my progress from those games on the Xbox One is carried over to my PC!!

I knew about the Play Anywhere but I had no idea it carried over game saves from X1 to the PC. That's amazing!! Really impressed by this and means I will play Forza 7 even more now on both PC and X1.

Yeah, it's super nice. I'll be buying Shadows of Mordor on the Windows Store for the same reason, being able to bounce between PC, One, One X w/ my save data.

I don't have Halo Wars 2, need to look into it, love RTS games but there just haven't been very many good ones since the last Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander games. So many are just arena fights with no base building or objective games.

Same thing happened with Gears of War 4. Everything carried over.

Have u maxed your settings out on FH3? The Xbox One S version is great but *** **** does a good PC blow it away at Max settings.

Yeah I have, looks fantastic but I'm using a 1080p monitor without any HDR so it can't look as good as it would on my 4K TV with HDR.

Which brings me to the next question, does the PC version with a Geforce 1080 even support HDR in games?

I have a 1080ti and my PC is connected to my 4k TV as a 2nd monitor. When I started the game HDR kicked in for me. So I think it does.

What in the world is up with the Xbox 1-X preorders??? This is foolish right now. The game was showcased 2 months ago and still can't put in a preorder.
