No kidding! Especially that 2K16 is a really good game as well. It was like AM Radio to Spotify (not even in the same league).

I think so. I can't remember how I did it. I didn't like Cortana. So now I use "Xbox" commands, and they work a whole lot better.

        Same here.
I barely play sports games anymore.
I'm in an OOTP online league and it's more than satisfied my sports gaming interests.

Saying that, I'd be the first in line if EA resurrected their MVP series or if MLB 2K made a comeback.

Yes, there is an option to turn off Cortana in the settings. I loved the idea of Cortana so much more than what it turned out to be on the console. I had a Windows Phone, and Cortana blew Apple's Siri away. But it just doesn't work on a console the same way.

I turned of Cortana right off the bat. It's in the settings, maybe System? Can't remember off-hand.

My guess is that only Microsoft can get away with doing a baseball game. And that's if they view baseball a game that will recover gamers to the Xbox that Microsoft lost to Sony. That way, like Sony, it can justify a greater cost to make than its return.

On top of paying way too much for the lame almost exclusive deal with MLB, 2K needed the game to support itself. There just aren't enough baseball gamers anymore.

And in the past, baseball games sold millions. It's when they became more realistic and sim-like that the numbers began to tumble.

It takes too long to play a game, and there just isn't enough action. I'm with Money99 that 2K's pitcher/batter interface made up for this because it was so much more in-depth, thanks to Hitter's Eye, Inside Edge, and a fanatic use of real life pitcher and hitter tendencies in certain counts.

But still, baseball, as a sport, is a tough sell in todays sports gaming market. Minute for minute, basketball, hockey and football provide more action and bombast. You have to be a huge baseball nerd to really enjoy the effort it takes to work a count and to try to up a pitchers pitch count. But video games need more players than the big nerds. Yes, a 3-1 game can be intense and fun as hell, but it requires a mindset that that other sports games do not.

It's just another facet to the sim vs fun argument that gets played out across this forum. This site if very sim oriented. I spent most of my life craving more sim games. But I've looked back over the history of sports games, and I think overvaluing sim sports games has hurt my enjoyment of sports games more than it has helped.

I think a new baseball game needs to balance sim and arcade more, like Super Mega Baseball does. But I can see why 2K and EA are resistant to entering the market. For all the love The Show gets in forums and by reviewers, it kind of sells like crap compared to other sports games. How can they look at the baseball game market and think there is room to compete?

It's either own the market or get out.

                  It's massively better.

Unfortunately my Kinect died several weeks ago, so we've been going without. I might replace it, but I wold prefer Microsoft just release a standard lone mic to do along with their web cam accommodation.

It's so much better...not recognizing Xbox Select to try and see possible options, but have to mess with it more. Going on and off is like instant instead of seconds waiting for it to recognize

They just said it would run at 60fps on X yesterday. Its a huge timed exclusive and now it looks like the X version is being held back. This reeks of them getting a ton of complaints from people who are not buying the X then resorting to parity.
