For those that haven’t tried it yet the new mortal Kombat 11 looks amazing one the Xbox x. Some of the best HDR I’ve ever seen in a game..the game is native 4k HDR..

Nice feature, i stream my Madden franchise to PC, to keep all my games archived. NBA 2K blocks the audio, but if you stream to PC the audio is still there. Streams are 1080p 60fps.I

Wish your posted existed a month ago. I've been screwing around with WWE 2K19 and for the life of me I could not figure out why the music was not getting recorded to my USB stick via GameDVR. I spent way too much time digging around the Internet, adjusting audio setting on my XBOX, and other things before I finally gave up. Then, I learned I could stream the game to my PC and record it from there... and get all the music/audio.

Arctis 9x headset for Xbox (wireless)...expensive at 199, but sounds pretty cool.

How sad is it that my first thought when reading that it could play stuff on bluetooth and from xbox at the same time (so play game while listening to music) was "ODogg needs this headset!"?

The spatial audio in headsets these days is pretty increduble. Using Atmos for headphones on my PC and Xbox are both amazing. I imagine a proper headset will take it even further. Certainly a reasonable investment depending on the use case.

I need to buy this when I get a game that supports it....I use headphones plugged into the controller and always figured you needed special hardware or something for that.

It makes everything better imo. Some more than others. Think there's a trial, Crackdown is one of the recent ones that uses it well.

Yeah, I think I can do Shadow of the Tomb Raider or something too but just wasn't going to play through it yet....when I get something I'll be playing through a while I'll pick it up! I hope all games add this as we go forward.

Would it also pass it through to my soundbar in my living room? I'd imagine since the Xbox kicks out whatever processed sound then you'd get the benefit there as well?

iirc it's a different product. Atmos for Headphones, Atmos for Home Theater. Don't remember.

There is an app called "Dolby Access" or something like that...it gives you the initial Atmos setup. When you download that it gives you the audio out option for Atmos (via hdmi).

Then within that dolby app, to get dolby atmos for headphones it prompts you to download another app (though it isn't standalone, more like an app within the dolby access app) called atmos for headphones.

Once you get that (30 day trial, I believe 12 or 15 to buy it) you get the Atmos output option for headphones. You can choose this for any headset - wireless, those that use usb, or plugged directly into the controller.

What's best is it gives you the option to download on up to 10 devices. So any Xbox One or PC (through the spatial audio settings) can use it. And since it is software based, no need for special headphones. Though it likely will sound better for those specifically made for it.

I've only had two issues with it - on PC, windows 10 doesn't give spatial audio options for usb devices (I typically use an astro usb hub, but I am able to use the same hub on Xbox and it works fine.) I have it on a couple of my Xbox ones, but I got a new X for the basement a few months back and it always gives an error when I click to download the headphone app within dolby.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get access to at least eight new games as part of the service in May, starting with Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames’ first-person shooter Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and Chucklefish’s strategy game Wargroove. Both titles will join the Xbox Game Pass lineup on May 2.

On May 9, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get three more games: Paradox Interactive and Haemimont Games’ space survival simulation Surviving Mars; Fullbright’s sci-fi narrative adventure game Tacoma; and Pearl Abyss’ fantasy online role-playing game Black Desert.

May’s lineup rounds out with tabletop-roguelike-RPG For the King on May 10, and on May 16, the sci-fi action game The Surge and kid-friendly action game Lego Batman 3. Microsoft will likely announce additional Game Pass games for May.

Maybe Tacoma if it's interesting enough. Wolfenstein 2 (still haven't gotten far in 1 though) looks cool. Surviving Mars is intriguing. The Surge also I don't know enough about.

Wolfenstein 2 is a great game even though I do prefer The New Order over it. May give The Surge a second look since the sequel is said to be releasing this year.

I found the Surge to be an interesting game however I am currently stuck in an area with an enemy I can't seem to defeat. Frustrating.

Just bought another Xbox one X for my room to play aside my Pro on my gaming monitor, and in White. My son uses the the crap out My First X in the living room.
