    Re: Xbox One

The MS Ecosystem (Game Pass and all) gives me great value that Sony doesn't really offer. Sony's first person games aren't a big enough draw for me personally (I don't buy much new anymore, and they have good exclusives but not worth the cost to enter that ecosystem).

It'd take quite a bit to fully switch, MS dropping the ball and Sony offering more similar services.

I'm talking about my current system with gamepass. I don't have the one X....but I have a PC.

Maybe you are unclear how forums work? People post things, others respond.

If I misunderstand what you meant by " I mean honestly, is it time to drop the xbox console," feel free to explain it better. But here you are, not doing that. You are not doing that in a post in which you explicitly say I don't know what you mean.

Your post came off as a troll. This post comes of as you being a crybaby.

So far, I feel like pegging you as a troll was fairly accurate. But I haven't put you on ignore, so feel free to explain what you meant if you actually care what anyone thinks about you.

First off it's your fault for assuming.

Secondly, I got a response before yours from ricky24 and he didn't come off like he has a stick in his butt cheeks.

Third, it was in context to the topic that was being discussed at the time (gamepass on PC) which you weren't around then so of course you jump off as a wannabe mod

So yeah, YOUR response is not only irrelevant and doesn't matter because I wasn't talking to YOU regardless.

You still sound like a troll. Nothing you are saying makes sense.

But, go ahead. Explain how your comment makes sense in regard to Gamepass. I have no clue what you are getting at.

And I’m not sure trying to drag ricky24 into this helps your case.

23 was a mod here for years, so would hardly classify him as a troll.

We've all been here a long time fellas. Let's just chalk this up to a difference of opinion and move on.

His post still makes no sense, and neither does his explanation, since I have been reading and posting on this and the last page, the entire time the discussion was happening. So it was weird that he had to tell me that I was not around for the discussion.

I have no idea at this point if we have a difference of opinion not. If he is not suggesting that Microsoft stop making consoles, then I have no idea what he is talking about. And, apparently, he has no interest in being more clear, just being butthurt over being called out.

The problem is the written word, it comes across differently to everyone that reads it. When I read this I took it as the person meaning maybe it's time for him to drop the Xbox console , not Microsoft. In that context I somewhat agree.

Yeah, but then the response justified the initial impression it gave instead of just adding missing context.

Moving on, Xbox app on PC is being renamed to Xbox Companion App, and a new desktop experience is coming. Presumably centered around will be xCloud, but maybe we'll get some surprises...

I took it as a lot of the innovating they're doing seems to be software/service related so he was asking if they needed a hardware device anymore to push it or if they could just go the service route, people have been saying this with Nintendo for years. I get the thinking and as a PC gamer, we are getting the benefits of a lot of these moves without having an Xbox so the box itself seems unnecessary, but I don't think MS is incentivized to make these moves without a console so even for us who don't have it, it's in our best interest that it stays around.

From my understanding the PC version will be better, with free online, right?

If that's the case it would be a good case made for me as someone who owns a pc to choose the gamepass route there instead of the console.

I was even thinking that would be beneficial when I travel if it works on my laptop so what i carry can be minimal.

Totally. Personally I don't really have a gaming PC or laptop (sometimes I'll stream from a Xbox, but nothing that can do current games justice on its own)....If you have a solid PC though, you could pair PC Gamepass along with PS4/5.

I have all of them currently, but I don't like the DS4, I prefer the Xbox controller.

Definitely would rather use my PC for it, but im just waiting on the details of what it all entails first. What kind of tablet functions could be used with it, do you actually need a "gaming rig" to play the games or not, etc...

E3 going to be interesting for sure, and I cant wait. I usually go to EA Play the day before as well, but ill be skipping that, this time.

That depends on the persons PC. I have a gaming laptop which I’ll enjoy for play anywhere games among others. It’s a 1080 machine though, so for me the console version will always be better most likely.

I will say I pretty much bought the thing because of Microsoft’s play anywhere offerings. I can easily take the thing with me wherever and play gears, forza horizon, state of decay etc. it’s great. I’d never ditch my OneX because I have it though.

Like I said I don't have an X1X, and while i could get one now, having a PC and being this close to new consoles, its starting to make little sense to do it.

Never used play anywhere but I know it requires certain specs to use it. Will gamepass be the same?
