Horizon Zero Dawn, had to look it up...Detroit looked interesting (I watched it on Youtube)...I'd have played that, and am glad they're multiplatform going forward now.

I'm really optimistic about MS going forward though, just need some big hits to offset all the misses lately.

I more love on Game Pass how they pay to add stuff like Outer Wilds and Void Bastards, both games I'll play and wouldn't have purchased myself.

Decent list...Some single player stuff, and I know it'll take a few years to avoid the totally Gears/Forza heavy lineup, but it's definitely progress. Some of these games just have to hit big time though, like that PS4 exclusive about the robots and all that (the name escapes me)

Will definitely take a few years for Microsoft to get away from the only Halo, Gears and Forza stigma but in order to do that, the new studios need to deliver new IP's of a high quality so they can become franchises. If they become just one and done, the stigma will never go away. My expectation is 2022-2023 for their new studios to all kick in and have something for next gen. Especially since a few of them recently released a game like State of Decay 2 from Undead Labs, We Happy Few from Compulsion Games and upcoming games from Obsidian and Ninja Theory.

Definitely looking forward to what they all do next but it will take a few years for them all to get their next games out.

I don’t see the downside of it being available on Steam. My brother doesn’t have an Xbox and it will be great to be able to play with him and I’ll have it on the go through play anywhere on windows 10. It’s all great imo.

Wasn’t there just a ton of outrage over Borderlands 3 not being available on Steam at game launch? Now people are mad gears will be on steam at launch. When did gaming get so confusing?

NHL19 is already in the EA Vault, it's great. Been playing superstar mode on that off and on since the playoffs started (once VGK got reffed out).

Spencer tweeted they have 14 Xbox Game Studio games to show off at their briefing, having just finished rehearsals this afternoon.

At the risk of exploding heads here, I've been playing a lot of NHL 19, and it is almost exclusively Threes. I love the mode.

I have several games from the list I posted that im interested in with Gears 5 being the main one especially since it's a few months away.

What route would that be that you don't like?

I agree with you. Halo is the ONLY game of the 14 peter listed that im interested in. The only reason why I still get games on my xbox rn is so my PS4 hard drive doesnt get too bad.

For me, Xbox has Halo and 2K SimWorld. But PS4 has Days Gone, Spiderman, God of War, TLOU.....

Even I don't want Microsoft to drop the Xbox branded console because it would be one less platform to play games and that would suck, plain and simple.

As for my games list I posted, I have at least 5 to 7 games that im interested in with a few being a guarantee.

Of those, I would be buying Halo Infinite, Gears 5, and both Forza's on day one. Ori is one I would probably get, but might wait for a sale or Games With Gold.

But all are on Game Pass, so I get them all day one, regardless.
