Re: Xbox One
Exclusives only matter if who "wins" E3 matters to you.
Even if MS ran out comparable titles to every Naughty Dog game, and all of the single player cinematic experiences, it wouldn't change anything. at this point, the bungled launch has put them in a hole that the XB1 will not crawl out of, in terms of marketshare and mindshare.
At this point, if MS has some of those Sonyesque games in their pipeline, they should hold on to them, and wait for the PS5 to drop. That's when they can flip mindshare once again.
Why run out promising titles to the same fate as Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, and Ryse, which are all strong games deserving of sequels, but which got buried. Those weak sales hurt those IPs going forward.
I think MS should coast on their same old, same old for4 now, and wait for Sony to jumpstart a new gen. Microsoft will have a matching console to drop day and date with Sony. And they will probably have the games people were craving for this gen.Comment

Re: Xbox One
There's validity to what he's saying. I'm in a similar pattern. The 1X is a beast of a machine. NBA2K18 and really everything on it looks amazing. RDR2 is going to be something special. That's more because I already know the game is going to be great and the power of the 1X will only make it better. But, I too find myself playing my base PS4 more than anything and I own all the gaming consoles.
I've been on Xbox since forever. I have about 600 friends on there vs 4 on the PS4. Ive always been an Xbox guy. Still am. Me and my buddies used to damn near fight in high school over which system was better Xbox or PS2. Those Ps Store flash sales are something, though. And it's easier and cheaper than ever to enjoy PS exclusives. I got Uncharted 4 last year for about 15$. Until Dawn for 7$. Ratchet and Clank for 5$ and a plethora of other games for less than 10$. Thats to say nothing of GOW and Spiderman. It's just a good time to be a gamer.
I grabbed a 65 inch Sharp 4K tv for the bedroom a few months ago on sale and moved the PS4 there too so that I could get some serious gaming done. My son (who loves Roblox and Fortnite) and wife (who never stops talking, lol) have effectively taken over my man cave. I've accepted it. So the combination of gaming and family reasons have me playing the PS4 more. Lol. But it's really the games.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have no idea if it will get mentioned in the presser. But I figure it will make sense to wait before opening cash.
I am related to one of the best insiders on the planet, but my brother tells me nothing. He is the Assistant General Counsel at Microsoft, so he is hyper vigilant about not leaking anything.
When I talk to him, he will deny knowing anything about stuff that has been officially released, because he is not always up on what has been cleared. But I do get some sweet game discounts!Comment

At this point, it is comical that anyone thinks their take on the gloom and doom of the XB1 is some sort of unique take on gaming. In this case, concern trolling seeks to dampen enthusiasm before the press conference for no good reason.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Truth has no relation to troll level. I could truthfully go to the PS4 thread and talk about how little I play my PS4, and that it is overall been a disappointing purchase. I would also be trolling.

Xbox One
Personal insults because I think there’s no validity in trashing a console that plays 3rd party games in their best form just because a the person making the comment doesn’t prefer the exclusive content on that console? Ok then. Good talk!Comment

Re: Xbox One
I agree. The 3rd party games will obviously look better on the 1X. A game like RDR2 is going to be an event. As a 1X owner it doesnt really matter if its first party or not. I just want great looking and playing games. While I want Xbox to start dropping fire exclusives as a fan, it's really inconsequential at the end of the day. Still, I want to see games fully harness and push this beast of a machine I have. The first game I downloaded after I got my 1X was Gears 4 and replayed it, in awe. I want more of that.Comment
