This is what I have. It’s 4TB and holds a ton of games and the price isn’t bad.

I am still rolling with my 2TB external drive, and I have 80+ games loaded between the both the external and internal drives, and I'm only at about 55% full.

To prove exactly how little I knew about this topic, I had no idea you could use standard externals. I was picturing a specific piece of XBox hardware (like I had for my 360).

I actually own an external that I use to store my real life files. Could I use that for both tasks (XBox and storage of computer files like videos, pictures, etc)? Is there any chance of thing corrupting by using for both means, anything crazy like that? Is it quick and easy to just connect and disconnect as needed?

And can I have some things still saved to my actual XBox and others on my external? For instance, when I bought 2K20, could I have shifted 2K19's files to my external and just kept 2K20 on my XBox itself?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Cannot use for both. It needs to be formatted to use on xbox one. And yes you can transfer games individually between hard drives. You can choose which hard drive is the default install location, and manually transfer anything to the other drive.

Once again, this is very much appreciated.

With the size of these game files for these new games 1TB hard drive isn’t enough. I recommend everyone get an external HD..

Man I thought gears 5 had the best HDR implementation, but I think the new modern warfare takes the cake especially the campaign. It’s a thing of beauty on the X.

Streaming over WiFi from my console to my phone giving me Vita flashbacks. I wonder when someone is going to make a handheld that works with the streaming services.

xCloud has been a great experience so far.

I'm so mad, i thought my controller was bluetooth but it's not...Eventually I'll pick one up, but can't test any of that.

I just got the 3TB last week from Best Buy Tech Insider to review and it died within 3 days. Working with Western Digital now to get another drive. Hope the new one is better and it was just a fluke!

I have been thinking about it. I have had my OG since release (I thought it was 2 or 3 years but apparently it came out in 2015? Can't believe 4 years now.) I figured I can use the OG on my PC and use version 2 on my X.

The MS rewards app on the Xbox has a bonus 15k points if you click the link in there and purchase.

The rubber grips have all but completely torn off from mine. The bumper falls out randomly and the thunbsticks have too much play and fly off while playing NHL lol, so it's time.

I pre-ordered because I'm a sucker for new stuff, but also in need of a new controller and just can't go back to the regular controllers. Guess I'm spoiled now.

All reviews seem to indicate it's still a beast and a much stronger, more quality build. The internal battery worries me a little bit, but I guess we'll have to hope it lasts.

Probably moot at this point, but if there's anyone out there that wants a 14-day trial for Gamepass, feel free to use it.
