Re: Xbox One
I never said Phil deceives people but he has numerous times said one thing and do the other. Their messaging (and marketing for that matter) is beyond horrible. It's barely if at all has improved in the last 7 or so years.
Phil and everyone else at Xbox need to stop talking all the time because all they end up doing is hurting the Xbox brand. Follow Sony and Nintendo. Except for Ryan recently since he's now the man, you rarely hear anyone from Sony talk. Nintendo pretty much never talks. They let their hardware and software talk for them which is exactly what Spencer and Xbox need to do for next gen. Just let the stuff that gamers care about do the talking for you.Comment

Re: Xbox One
VR for one. Every year's E3. Says they are still looking to acquire studios but Booty says they aren't. One of them is lying and not on the same page at all. Says he's giving gamers "choice" which goes the PC way but doesn't always go the Xbox One console way.
That's just a few examples. Point being is that Spencer (and the rest of them) simply need to shut up because they're not helping the Xbox brand when they talk. They either A) piss everyone off for whatever reason, B) say stuff that isn't true or going to happen, C) don't treat Xbox One gamers the same as they do PC gamers and D) they all say different stuff at the same time which completely contradicts what the other person said which leads to confusion and mixed messaging. As if none of them are in the same team meetings.Comment

You're a previously banned user. Everyone here knows. When your posts get reported, they literally get reported as "the previously banned user."
Now, you're up to the same crap that got you banned before, on several occasions.
Consider this a final warning, no more leeway will be provided in the future for you. REALLY REALLY tired of your constant trolling.
My recommendation to you specifically would be to stay out this thread. It's where you get yourself into the most trouble. While that is not a mandate, it is definitely my recommendation.
Your final warning applies to all threads.
Seriously. Stop trolling. It's not that hard.....
Before you respond, keep in mind, as a previously banned user, you literally have no leg to stand on. Don't PM me, stop trolling, and move on. If you can do that, you will be good for now.Last edited by kehlis; 12-05-2019, 09:15 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Am I alone in pondering holding off on Scarlett until Black Friday the year after release? They always end up having amazing deals/price drops vs. what it costs on release. Plus all the games will play on both systems to start, and all my tvs aren't 4k, so while it'll be really nice I don't *need* the upgrade immediately.
I will hedge my comment by saying I'll wait for the price....at 400 or something it's not insane, but Xbox One was 500 with Kinect, right? I think it was higherNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Xbox One with Kinect was $500 at launch. Scarlett will probably be the same price which considering the tech and capabilities will be a steal. There also seems to be a lower tier version of Scarlett called Lockhart which is said to be a 1440P (not sure about the frame rate) console but with a better GPU, CPU, SSD, etc. In other words, better than the X but not as beefed up as what Scarlett will be.
So if cost is really the primary reason for holding off, you might want to start looking into Lockhart which may cater to you more and will be cheaper than Scarlett. Think Xbox One Slim compared to Xbox One X.
NOTE: This is not a bullcrap post or anything like that. Simply giving mgoblue info that he may want to look into as next gen Xbox is looking like it will launch with two different SKU's. Link provided as validation.

Re: Xbox One
Not sure when I'm getting either console. I opted out of this gen on Sony's side once my console play time dipped to the point that I couldn't justify PS+ anymore (which to me is the equivalent of having a computer with no internet), and Madden on PC pulled me away from a lot of the time I normally spent on Xbox. I use it mostly for remote play now, and digital game collecting, lol.
I'd probably get more out of getting a 3080ti next year instead, but we'll see what case either side makes. I'd even consider an 'all digital' discless version, but not if that means lesser specs overall. I haven't bought or used a physical game in 2-3 years.Comment

I'm not cheap enough to go Lockhart, but I'll probably hold off a bit on Scarlett since there aren't any exclusive games to start. I'm more trying to not pay the "early adopter" tax and you tend to save something by waiting a bit. I bought my 2nd Xbox One too early and should have waited for a BFNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
Kind of funny how things have evolved this generation. We started it with an freak out about always online consoles - then (de facto) ended up with them anyways. That same outrage primarily about ownership and being able to rent and loan games - then this generation has seen the complete failure of Blockbuster and the explosive growth of consumer's digital preferences to the point that digital has surpassed physical sales.
Next up, Redbox is getting out of the video game business. With no announcement they have abruptly stopped renting them and have now stated games will only be available for purchase until next year.
Gamestop and others are still adjusting to the most popular games in the world being free and the digital transition well over the hump, remains to be seen how things unfold for them and if they'll stick around or evolve themselves into something more sustainable.Comment
