Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Think I'm going to pickup This War of Mine, Stardew Valley, Darkest Dungeon, and Oxenfree. Was hoping for a bigger price drop on Superhot too, guess I'll wait for the winter sale on that one.
Surprised there's no price drop on Hitman also. Really want to pick that up, but I guess its not going on sale until the whole game releases so I may as well just pick it up now.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
This summer sale is weak so far, I can still get 90% of these games cheaper on CDKeys....
It's like they aren't even trying..I got money to spend and no real sales here.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Can't really compare steam sales to cdkeys. They're not an authorized distributor. They don't have to get buy in from publishersComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Don't really care, I've been using them for years and no issues with their keys. When it comes to my wallet, this whole authorized crap is irrelevant.
Right now they are still cheaper than steam sales on everything too. I'm still waiting for steam to stop being stingy with their prices, especially on the COD games, which are massively overpriced for old games. Even the AC series games are still high...season passes should be 60% off on games over a year old. No sense in have them still high, barely $5 off.Comment

I get that it's your money, but you don't blame meteorologists when it rains. I'm not sure why you're blaming steam for prices. Steam doesn't set the prices. The publishers do. Activision runs the same prices for every COD sale. Nothing new here.
I use cdkeys as well. I'm just telling you there's a big difference in how these businesses work. Steam can't piss off the publishers and can't do things without their approval. Blame the publishersComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I have an xbox 1 and I find myself hardly even playing it. I seem to buy way more games on steam now. Namely because of good sales and than summer and winter sales. Do you find yourselves playing more on the PC than on whatever console you have? And I wasn't even planning on getting 2k16 or the dragonball game, but hell when they are that cheap I might just go ahead and add them to my library.NFL 2k5 When Sept. Ends.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I sold my One a few hours after the Xbox announcement at E3. I had only bought it for exclusives and had only purchased like 2 games for it anyway. Now that they offer the option for their future games over PC, I just have no need for the One. I never thought I would go digital only, but Steam sales and deals at other sites just opened my eyes over the last two years getting back to PC gaming.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Yea same. I just got the xbox because of certain games that are exclusive or only on consoles. I know its easier for some to get the consoles and cheaper depending on what kind of PC you are aiming for, but sheesh to me it seems you would save money in the long run by buying the games off steam. Of course that is if you wait to buy the game you want, and not get it the first night it comes out at full price, hahaI sold my One a few hours after the Xbox announcement at E3. I hope xbox does something like summer sales and put more games on sale more often. I mean real sales too not this 5 or 10 bucks off. I wouldn't mind getting back into playing on my console more with friends, as it is easier to do that locally.Last edited by burter; 06-25-2016, 11:53 PM.NFL 2k5 When Sept. Ends.
