Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

I sold my PS4 after beating The Order, now I'm waiting on the Neo so I can complete Uncharted and hopefully something else before x-mas. My XB1 is still getting played daily, thanks to FHorizon2, Sunset Overdrive and few others.

And the XBL community is unmatched...

I've picked up only a few things from Steam Sale so far and that's Watch Dogs Complete for $14.99. And all the Tomb Raider original games, already owned the Reboot and Rise.

100% absolutely, and I own all the current consoles/handhelds.

I'd say 90% of my gaming time (which is considerable) goes to my PC. After that it's normally PS4 (even more so since I picked up some of the PS2 classics) and then XBox.

Right now, I'm playing through Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE on WiiU since that is my type of console game and it's great. Wish the WiiU had more games of this caliber.

I'm keeping my XBOne, but I'm almost certain I won't buy another game for it again. I can't think of any reason to unless there's a very specific game that comes out that won't touch PC.

XBL sub I'm probably going to let run out unless they pull some crap with their games on PC and playing online. XBL and PSN are both trash communities that don't add anything anyways outside of "You must pay us to play online."

Somewhat the same for me, 90%+ of my gaming is PC, the rest Xbox, and our PS4 is my kids Netflix/Amazon box because I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

If EA ever went with the Xbox Play Anywhere program I'd probably be done with consoles if I could get Madden on PC.

How is Trails in the Sky? I'm not a huge fan of some JRPGs mainly for grinding and tedious combat/random encounters.

I am not a fan at all of JRPGs, but that game blew me away. Loved the story and humor. Slow start, but once you get into it, I could not put it down.

I don't remember it as grindy at all. There were side quests and the like, but it's a game that I would highly recommend. All 3 games in that series (though one is PS3/Vita) are worth playing.

Severely underrated/celebrated franchise for anyone that likes JRPGs.

I love PC gaming! The only reasons I own a PS4 are PS Vue (greatest thing ever btw), FIFA, and MLB: The Show. I realize I could play FIFA on PC, but I primarily play clubs with my friends.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

So what's the overall opinion of the Steam Link? I've started to realize that I spend too much money on those for the amount that I actually play. Part of it is just the pure convenience of being able to lay back on the couch and game on my PS4. From what I've read, it sounds like the link would probably let me do that with my PC games.

Saw a link/controller bundle on sale and was thinking about snagging one so I can finally play KOTOR again and finish KOTOR II using a controller. It's only $10 or so more than just buying a controller outright would cost.

Can I still use the mouse/keyboard on my laptop, too? Or would I need to get wireless ones? I'd love to play some of my 4X games on a big TV but can't imagine doing it with a controller. I guess my mouse is already wireless so that's probably not a huge deal but it would be nice to have the keyboard, too.

Also, would I be able to get Origin games working on it? I got Jade Empire for free a while back and would love to be able to play that again.

RX 480 came out yesterday. Much like the GTX 1080, GTX 1070, it sold out within 5 minutes. Also like the 1080 & 1070, people on Amazon are price gouging big time.

unlike the 1070&1080, it's a budget card so high volume of sales is what they are going for. From what I heard they had a lot of stock (especially compared to the other new cards) so good for them on sales.

And then there goes the 1060 leak.

We'll see what it really looks like when it launches in a week.

Personally, I have no plans to ever buy another AMD card, but glad they're there to provide competition.

That graph is so ****ing stupid. "MUCH FASTER" uhh... last I checked, 1.15x faster isn't "MUCH FASTER".

Surprise, surprise! AMD Power efficiency sucks. Almost as much as this sensationalist, terribly put together graph.

I bought so many games during this Summer sale. I love these sales, they are good for games that you are on the fence about. I probably pick up Technomancer during the Winter sale, it should be down in the teens by then. $38 is too much for a game that look like it was made for the Xbox 360.

Either Zero Time Dilemma's selling really well or this has been planned for a while - Virtue's Last Reward is also getting a PC port along with 999.
